Chances are you've heard of/seen this video before.

Basically, it's a 6 minute video taken with a cell phone on a bus in Hong Kong. A Chinese man in his forties (Bus Uncle) responds furiously when a young man sitting behind him taps his shoulder to ask him to lower his voice while talking on the phone.

The clip is coloured marvelously with Cantonese curses and swear words of all sorts, and various catch phrases which became instant hits in Hong Kong.

I have to say that this doesn't surprise me at all. There are plenty of crazed old men and women in Hong Kong who blow up at tiny things. Uncle Bus is nothing new.

It's pretty funny in Cantonese, but I'm not sure how funny it is with English subtitles. Check it out anyway. =)

That's funny. It's kind of sad that an old man would talk about doing someone's mom. I can't believe no one told him to sit down and shut up.

The kid was a total wimp. If I was him, I would've punched the guy out the first time he said to screw my mom.

omg, this is the best thing, saw it like 2 weeks ago. and watched it like 50 times LOL
yah i need a life. this thing was on the news. they also interviewed the kid and the kid acted all tough saying oh i let him say all that to me and saying he knew the bus uncle wouldn't attack him and stuff.
there's also so many song remixes and t-shirts made for this. it was pretty funny.
it was filmed by a kid who thought there would of been a fight. Who would of thought this thing would become so popular?
btw, HI GIGI!!

News alert:

The "bus uncle" found a job at a local restaurant, but a few days ago, a group of people hit him and the "bus uncle" had a few injuries. It's probably because of his OVERRATED fame in the mass media (e.g. his face was all over the headlines in various local newspapers and even on the tv news).

Hahahaha, what a jerk. I feel a little sorry for the old man now, though. People shouldn't just randomly hit him because of what happened. >_> Ick.

That Sammi Cheng remix is hilarious. laugh.gif I think I have her cd with that song on it, except in mandarin. Yeaah....xD

Well, apparently the restaurant's creator's wife attempted suicide because she didn't want Bus Uncle to work in the restaurant, so now the Bus Uncle quitted the job and is working elsewhere... I think promotion for a company.

This is absolutely NOT FUNNY. He is just a bully. I saw a later video that he wanted to run Hong Kong! Wow! He's just full of himself.

The young guy...I think it just caught him off guard. He should have stand on his ground.
