The movie wasn't too great. There were still a lot of questions I had about the movie, like... where was Nightcrawler in this... or why Storm's roots were black her hair was gray...

You're missing the point: It is the last film of the trilogy, which means that it should be wrapped up.

It's like the Star Wars movies. Episode III wasn't the last film, but it was the last film of the prequel trilogy, which is why the plot of the prequel trilogy is neatly wrapped up in Episode III.

X-Men III is the last film of this X-Men trilogy, so it should wrap up the plot of the trilogy, regardless of whether more X-Men films are made.

I understand what you're saying about it being the end of a trilogy, but I like how it ended, leaving open ends for spin-off films: The current X-Men(Cyclops, Wolverine, Jean, Storm, Professor X) break up, but the school stays open for the Next Generation X-Men (Iceman, Rogue, Pryde, etc.) which could be a spin-off film. And Magneto can remain as a villain and enemy of the X-Men.

QUOTE(Statues/Shadows @ May 29 2006, 10:49 PM) *
I think what they're thinking is coming next is called Magneto, because if you look at Ian McKellan's IMDB page, it says they've announced they're making it, and judging by the chess piece, it would make sense.

I think the Magneto film is about Magento's life before all this.

The fourth movie will focus on the next gen mutants. But either way, they CAN make a movie with the current X-Men because Professor X is in another body, Jean Grey was/is Phoenix and what do phoenixes (?) do? Rise from the ashes (Harry Potter, anyone? ;)), and Magneto has his powers back either from a: the cure was only temporary or b: he's a class 3 which means he's just that powerful. Whichever they decide, I hope they get singer to direct because Ratner was just horrible.

Magneto and Wolverine are just spin offs and they don't really have anything to do with these three movies... they'll both probably be prequels.

Phoenix died numerous times in the comic book series, so it's quite likely she'll come back when/if there are other movies.

I think the Magneto film is about Magento's life before all this.

But Rogue became human..?

And as far as Magneto goes, og, okay. I didn't know a thing about X-Men until two days ago, so I probably am a little off, I'd just noticed that :)

Yeah, but I was thinking that the cure isn't permanent, since Magneto kind of got his powers back.

Ah. What I gathered was that it had permenent physical effects or whatever, but since it's all in your mind anyway, you could reteach yourself, like Magneto did?

Aren't the superpowers attributable to genetic mutations (i.e. evolution)?

That would make more sense. I have little to go by than what I was told, though.

My friend Michael said it was okay, he was with a bunch of X-men nerds and they ruined the movie for him because they told him all the places where they messed up.
But.. since I dont know any X-men nerds, the movie shouldnt be ruined for me. happy.gif

I think the cure is temporary. And that's what they'll probably use as an excuse.

Hmm, well, I guess if the cure comes from that kid, and being near him has only temporary effects, ti would make sense for it to be.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention one big beef I had with the movie. Why'd they make it seem like Jean Grey was the only "Level 5" Mutant ever. I know for a fact that Iceman is an Omega Level Mutant just like Jean. And Why couldn't they use Roman letters?

Singer won't come back unless Fox wants to ruin their pride and give him way more money. His contract was cut when he decided to run over to Warner Bros. to film the Superman movie. I personally didn't think Rattner was that bad. I mean...it could have been way worse. I don't see what the big deal about Singer is, but that's probably just me.

P.S. Did anyone else see Stan in it? *Giggle* hehe.gif

^hahha yeah I saw him too. Watta surprise.

Yeah dude, it was ridiculous how they brought up mutants like Colossus and Kitty Pryde to be part of the team when they should have had the originals like Gambit and Jubilee[who was nothing more than one of the background person/cameo, LAME!]. And what also sucked was the killing of certain individuals. They screwed up this movie so bad, they might as well had the director of the Hulk movie make this one.

A few things I think the story could have used to make the trilogy better:

-Bringing out the full potential of the mutants. Ex: Rogue actually being able to fly, Angel turning into Archangel, Storm being able to fly instead of just hovering.
-Actual mutants from the comics/cartoons, instead of made up characters, even if only for cameos or background people.[Referring to guys like the one that shot stakes from his hand or the guy who breathed hot ash]
-APOCALYPSE!!!
