Firstly, I hate when guys refer to it as "getting girls". We aren't toys or things you can possess, we are HUMAN BEINGS.

The worst thing you can do is ask a girl out through her friend. That shows that you're unconfident and, quite frankly, too immature to even have a girlfriend. Don't try and be friends with her, because she'll think that's all you want to be and then you have no chance. Going from friend to boyfriend is not easy, nor is getting out of a relationship and still staying friends. The best thing you can do is show her that you're interested. Ask her questions, want to know more about her.

Something that's worked for me in the past is, after you've got to know her a bit and she considers you as a friend, just drive to her place *WITHOUT CALLING* and ask her out. I'm pretty sure most girls like being surprised like this as long as you do it right and do it at time you are perfectly certain that they have nothing to do. It doesn't need to be something huge... What I liked to do was during the summer I would offer her to go take a walk on the beach before joining up with our other friends for the evenning. Insisting too much about being alone with her all the time is generally not a good idea. Go with the flow and one day it will feel perfectly natural to bring her back at your place after a night out in the bars or a party.

you shouldnt always be friends with them cuz then theyll think of you as a cuddly teddy bear and not a "hot" guy you would go out with, just try to talk to them, for ex if you have a class with her or something in common just bring it up and start from there dont just come out of nowhere cuz thats scary =P
