they are all theories and they are all just as plausible as the next... personality believing in a god that can cause any thing to happen and create anything that exists makes more sense to me than leaveing everything up to random chances and mutations That's not really the issue here. The issue is whether intelligent design should be taught in a science curriculum or not. Intelligent design is not science—it doesn't fit the definition at all. That is not to say that it should not be taught; rather, that is to say it is not an acceptable part of a science curriculum. |

It's a question of whether or not "intelligent design" should be taught next to evolution.Again, I don't think it should. Intelligent design is a good old Republican's trick, slapping a more scientific name on something that requires only faith. |

I remember having to do a debate on this. I was the affirmitive side on "ID and creationism should be taught in school." When I researched it (because my teacher is an bish and gives me the opposite side of what I want) i found a very interesting "argument/example" to strengthen ID.
Take a banana. It has a self expiration date (it browns/blackens), has a tab for us humans to easily peel. It had other examples, I'll try to find the source once I find my rebuttle speech. xD |

I was the affirmitive side on "ID and creationism should be taught in school." Intelligent design and creationism are the same exact thing. And, I'm not saying that "intelligent design" SHOULDN'T be taught in school at all. In fact, I think that there should be a world religions class where it could be taught. But it should never have a place next to evolution in the science classroom, ever. |

I think Intelligent Design is just creationism in disguise. I don't mind it being taught in schools but I don't think it should be taught as a science... which many of the ID advocates are pushing for. I think it would best fit in a Religion or a Philosophy curriculum.
