Hey, i just found this valentine's day poem i wrote this year. may i plz have ur attention

I only imagine you in everyway,
I only think of you all night and all day,
I only want you when im awake and when im sleep
You don't need a thing because you're everything 2 me
I'd never die 4 u, I'd rather live 2 love u
You can take my arms i'd still find ways 2 touch you
I've be hoping to find some1 like you
You're beautiful in everything you do
Not just another pretty face, but beauty divine
The only question is: Will you be my Valentine?

Did you really write that? I like the "I'd never die 4 u, I'd rather live 2 love u" part. I hate how people say "I'd die for you," I actually read in a book about abusive relationships that that's a horrible thing to say because it's so ghastly or something like that.

I'll move this to the Writing Forum as suggested by Liz.

Um, most of this is plagiarized.

" only imagine you in every way
I only think of you, all night and all day
I only want you when Im awake and when Im sleep
You dont mean a thing cause you mean everything to me,"

http://www.lyrikz.com/lyric_pages/11090.html

And I'm disgusted by your comment after the title.

Oh yeah, it's so sweet trying to be creative, and ending up plagiarizing.

What's so sweet about this? Read the title. He also lied and said he wrote it. Doesn't anyone have any literary standards anymore?

It's a very well written poem. But judging by the comments, it seems like someone had it first. sad.gif Thanks for sharing though.

It's PLAGARISM! He lied and said he wrote it. It's an intentional misrepresentation of the truth. He stole copyrighted lyrics and said they were his own. That kind of behavior gets people kicked out of school with failing grades and fired in the real world.

I'm surprised the female members of this forum are breezing by the title as well and saying this is cute. It's not.

this...this has to go.
you. are. a. big. fat. plagiarizer.
i want you to go jump off a cliff.
...if you would rather "live and love me", i suggest you to rethink that idea after i report you or something.

Good lord people, calm the f**k down. This is a f**king internet site, you don't ban a person for "plagiarizing" Please get over yourselves, you aren't f**king scholarly people. If you wanted to, you could call everyone one on plagirizing. My god, most things have been said before. Let him write what he wants. So what if he took lyrics, he put them into a poem that he wrote for some fifteen year old girl or however old he is. Stop flipping a bitch!! <---OMG PLAGIRIZED BECAUSE SOMEONE HAS SAID THAT BEFORRREE2iu1408972438!

There actually is a kind of poem called a stealing poem where half of your poem is taken from a song or story or other literary form. But you have to give credit for it. I'm not going to comment on the poem seeing as it's been plaigerized and not properly credited. If this topic becomes out of hand, I'll have to close it. No more, "BAN HIM!!" or "HE STOLE ITT!!!" comments.

Does it really take you 30 minutes to copy and paste something into Google? I truly hope you are exaggerating to create some kind of dramatic impact. That should take less than 30 seconds.

Since the original post has been modified in response to some of the comments subsequently posted, I guess there is some value in maintaining integrity, even on the internet.

Rachel, sorry to rain on your parade, but you're an idiot.

It's not about who said what. It's about STEALING literary works and claiming that YOU wrote them. How would you feel if I stole an essay of yours that you put so much effort into, and got an amazing grade on it? And took credit for it? Not very good, I would assume.

And by the way, yes you can ban a person for plagiarizing on a literary site. It's f**king disgusting. And if you think it's ok, well then there's a problem with you, isn't there?

Let him write what he wants? Sure, if HE truly wrote it. Just stop talking, and stop embarrassing yourself.

Btw sorry that I was offensive, but I have REALLY low tolerance for people who plagiarize. People have stolen a few of my works numerious times and it pisses me off immensely.

Actually I am not an idiot, I think you are for overreacting so much. This is createblog, not Literary Lovers For Life or something. This kid isn't going to publish his work and sell it for millions of dollars. He gave to a crush on Valentines Day. Have you never used the lines "Roses are red, violets are blue ect. ect"? If you have, then bam bitch, you plagerized. I think you are the one embarssing yourself, not me. PS, I used to be pretty active in this forum and still write occasionaly so I do kinda have an opinion on this, don't you dare talk down to me.

And you still think it's right? Pathetic. I'm sorry, but I never in my life stole someone else's work and called it mine.

Also.. what is your opinion? That plagiarism is right?

The example this guy gave of plagiarism is of course a very small one, but it does prove a point.
