i thought it looked like the typical spelling bee plot. girl wins from school, girl studies her ass off, girl learns lessons, girl wins national spelling bee.
i kinda thought it looked stupid/ a little too predictable. so, i dont think ill be seeing it. |

It really isn't that predictable. It's very touching and there are little nuances in the film that kept me guessing...and giggling at the same time.
Nerd porn with a spelling bee plot? XD Wait, ew. |

Okay, I really want to see this. no idea why...
It could be from (a) Listening to the "25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee Original Broadway Soundtrack" for the last month or so. (b) Watching the '95 Spelling Bee on Cheap Seats, haha. © Because it looks like a feel good movie... I want to see it, and all the critics gave it good reviews too. So ha! lol. I do want to see this. I'll probably go by myself, my friends would make fun of me. |

i was at the premiere!
i saw it a week before everyone else! the governator (governor schwarzenegger) was there, laurence fishburne, angela basset, keke fisher, etc. it surprised me because i thought it was just some screening. my friend had been in the statewide spelling bee and got tickets for herself and three other people. it was reaaaaaaaalllly cool. it didn't hurt that it was a pretty goshdarn good movie. i liked it a lot. =333 |

^Care to explain?
One of my friends saw it the other day and loved it. I have a lot of interest in it because my family and I used to be completely involved in the Scripps spelling bee and stuff. I even won spelling bees in elementary school and stuff :) so I think will check it out soon. |

Didn't know that til now. He's also in Sense and Sensibility and that character is kind of like House.. a misanthrope. And when I saw him in Flight of the Phoenix, I was like, WHAT?! Hahaha. |

House pwns.
And I really wanted someone to die on the 2 part show. I'm sorry but..it should have been done. But House's sarcasm is so hilarious. The writers of this show should get like so many awards. |
