ive been told it hurts the first time...
im kinda actually scared... does it hurt? and is there a lot of bleeding?

The amount of bleeding differs for every girl.
The only pain you're going to feel is if you'll cramp up or not, and the amount of cramping also differs for every girl. But the bleeding itself you won't feel..just kinda sneaks up on ya.

The bleeding doesn't cause any actual pain, but the cramps can or may be noticeable. It really depends. When I got mine, I wasn't sure if it was it or not, and it was.. but I don't recall any pain. But, then again, that was some six years ago...

a lot of bleeding--there are differences btw many girls.depends.i dont have any pains luckily.=)dont worry!

It all depends on how heavy the period is .. if your lucky you won't have bad cramps if you arent lucky .. like myself you will have terrible cramps .. thinking about it now .. I cry when I have cramps lol.

My first period didn't hurt at all, it was probably the least painful one I've had. All the ones after it hurt. LOL. But the pain differs for girls. I personally find it sometimes hurtful, sometimes not.

my first period was kind of sudden, i was sleeping and in the morning i saw some blood, i was like omgosh what was that and i realized that i finally got my period, okay moving to the main point, i doesn't really hurt the first time, but the second time hurts. it's better if you don't eat any cold stuff and exercise a lot (ex. running) it really helps :).
