why does that guy have like a huge eyebrow? its scaring me.
i never knew May was Asian Heritage Month. why is it Asian Heritage Month anyways? is it 'cause something important happened in May? |

"Asian Pacific American Heritage Month is celebrated in May and a celebration of Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States. Just like the Black History Month and Women's History Month celebrations, the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month originated from legislation. Congress passed a joint Congressional Resolution in 1978 to commerate Asian American Heritage Week during the first week of May. This date was chosen because two important anniversaries occured during this time, the arrival of the first Japanese immigrants in America on May 7, 1843 and the completion of the transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869. Congress later voted to expand it from a week long to a month long celebration."

Our class was talking about this a couple months back. We were in charge of thinking of ways to celebrate Asian Heritage Month. Lol since half my class is Korean and there are only 3 Indians or people of Indian heritage (including me), we probably won't learn much.
