Why is the ocean so salty?

the average blue whale produces over 400 gallons of sperm when it ejaculates, but only 10% of that actually makes it into his mate. So 360 gallons are spilled into the ocean everytime one unloads, and you wonder why the ocean is so salty...

okay that makes me want to throw up because when I was a child, I swallowed water from the beach accidentally and I used to gargle them in my mouth and spit it out at my sister.

That's not true; the salt is a result of the process of formation of the ocean, as well as other geological processes (such as volcanic eruption).

^ That's not true. I remember my ELA teacher told me it wasn't. It's just salty because of all the salt in the ocean.
