did you know that 8 out of 10 women wear the wrong bra size?
so, i thought id give you guys steps on measuring yourself correctly. keep in mind, that there are two different ways to measure for your bust. bra measuring method #1. over. Step #1: Band measurement Measure under your arms, high on your back, around the top of your chest. If this measurement is an even number, this is your band size. If this measurement is an odd number, add 1" to determine your band size. Record that number, you'll need it for step 3. Step #2: Cup measurement Wear your favorite supportive, comfortable bra. Measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust. Record that number, you’ll need it later. Step #3: Do the math Subtract your band measurement from your cup measurement; each inch in difference represents one step in cup size. For example: if your band measurement is 34" and your cup measurement is 36", the difference between these measurements is two inches, and you'd require a B cup. bra measureing method #2. under. Step #1: Band measurment Measure around the chest directly under the breast at a constant height with the cloth measuring tape. Add 5 inches to that measurement. This dimension is your bra/band size (If the bra size works out to an ODD number go up one inch to the next EVEN number.) This should equal the circumference around the chest, directly above the breasts/under the arms. Step #2: Cup measurment Now measure around the chest at the height of the fullest part of the breast. The measuring tape should be held horizontal, flat on your back, and your arms should be down. Make a note of that measurement (only used for comparison) and compare it to the Bra Size from step 1. Step #3: Do the math To determine the proper Cup Size, find the difference between step 2 and step 1 (step 2 - step 1.) Use the chart below to determine your Cup Size. 0-1/2 inch difference= AA Cup 1 inch difference=A Cup 2 inch difference=B Cup 3 inch difference=C Cup 4 inch difference=D Cup 5 inch difference=DD Cup 6 inch difference=DDD Cup 7 inch difference=DDDD Cup 8 inch difference=FF Cup 9 inch difference=G Cup 10 inch difference=H Cup 11 inch difference=I Cup 12 inch difference=J Cup credit 1 2 or, you can even go to this website where theres a bra calculator. all you need to do is measure yourself in the areas shown, and then enter in your measurements. bra calculator |
