Anyway, can anyone give me advice how to overcome this fear?

You're not the only one. My friends tried forcing me to play a game called Fatal Frame with them and when I did... well, I cried.

About the scary movies.... I don't really get scared when I watch them. It's when I start to imagine the same things happening to me that gets me in a scared state.

me too! I hate scary stuff. I was watching Constantine (not even that scary) and the electricity went out like 15 minutes before the movie ended and I'm like "God doesn't want us watching this movie!!!" and then I watched white noise, and afterwards the dvd shut off and the tv when to white noice and I had a heart attack. I still can't have a tv on with nothing but white noise. ew. it gives me the chills just thinking about it.

I'm scared of the hair and nail salon.. _unsure.gif

Just find some parody of it online that makes fun of the whole concept of whatever you're scared of.

For scary movies I get pretty scared myself. I watched "The Ring" in theaters and basically pee'd my pants. If you really want to get over your fear I would suggest you start off watching semi-scary movies. For instance, you WILL laugh at "Scream", you can't help it. It's just so stupid. (watch this with friends and make fun of it the whole time), or watch "Scary movie" where they are actually making fun of scary movies, that might put you in a better mood. lol
Still, there is nothing wrong with being scared of those types of movies.
Still, if you want to overcome this fear then start off small and work your way up to where it doesn't affect you as much. (I suggest you watch all of these movies with friends, siblings, or a girlfriend)

"The others" is a good one to watch to break yourself in.

This is what I did - my best friend and I would rent one and watch it in the middle of the day with all of the lights on and the sunlight streaming through the windows. Then we'd laugh at it.... and scream in some parts, but laughing is key.

...Just realize..that no matter what happens, it's just a movie.

Or watch movies with friends. That always helps. :|
^ Agreed. No matter how realistic it may seem, remember that it's just a movie and most of those things are non-existent.

Points to words at the bottom of sig:
Just do it.

I would suggest using The Hills Have Eyes to break into. Haha. I'm just kidding. That movie's pretty scary; but I've seen it at home with all the lights on with my guys, and we just kept laughing and laughing, but I looked at one of my friends and they looked like they were having a panic attack. Actually, the first scary movie I've seen in a long time is The Hills Have Eyes. Pretty good.

Do you want to know what happened to me? I watched 30-second Bunny Theatre before I watched The Exorcist. Well, and I adopted a Sosuke mentality (if you've got no idea what I'm talking about, I'll explain it in a minute).
I could not stop laughing at the movie. My friend thought I was "absolutely daffy" and I had to agree. I went on Haunted Mansion (you have to understand, I use to cry on it. I still cry on Space Mountain.) and I kept thinking things like... "It just a bunch of holograms" as I looked for the sources (you may not be so tech savvy, but I liked that I could find them). It really helps just to think what they're really doing. The stuff you don't see. Sosuke mentality in a way. "It would be more dangerous if it were a grenade."

Well I guess its less of scary movies.......but rahter scary games. (The stupid ghost wailing is freaky when your in a dark cave with minimum light!)

I just get annoyed with myself when I get so scared just playing halo 2 at night (If you know what I am talking about, those grunts are too short to be seen and hit pretty hard!)

I just seem to be scared by anything zombie/ghost/scary related things, particularly ghost because I constantly hear ghost stories (stupid mum friends loves to tell them) and I freak the heck out of it.

K any more help? Thank you for the ones that replied

P.S. I guess Ill just have to watch and p*** in my pants

Start watching the mildly scary ones, then a little bit scarier, and progress like that! =)

I didn't find Konstantine scary. I liked that movie, but yeah, I think that's a good one to start out with.
