Okay,
I've got this idea. There are a million sides in my mind to take it from. I don't know if you guys will be able to understand it or not. It's been taking over my thoughts, especially since I'm out of school and isolated. The juices have already flown a bit, but it's starting to become heavier. I've already written the beginning of the first side, but I can't show you because I haven't linked it to the story yet, so I'm just going to show you where the "Idea" for this dream world came from in the story. It's messy, and I need to go back and edit it and stuff..... ![]() *The Possibility[video_Marthur Cunning/Drake Dertago_Nov0903_Iris-Hotel_Houston] "How much space did you plan on buying Dertago?" The man in black, Marthur Cunning, on the video screen gave my brother a questioning look that seemed to disapprove. He put the stack of papers he was holding on the desk with a toss. "Your system is genius.....But you would literally have to buy half the internet world in order to accomplish such a thing. This isnt a chatroom. It's an opposite reality." My brother remained patient and uncrossed his legs sitting up in his chair. "No, Marthur, I want enough space to advertise. The system itself would not be internet powered and need a host.... Myralinna! Get me those charts on Social Cravings of teens from two thousand to this year." I jumped and looked at him, I hadn't been paying attention to my job. He nodded at me orderingly and then looked back at Mr. Cunning, "I know what you're thinking, Marthur, but I assure you; there is a possibility I am right." I opened my laptop and pulled up the requested data, and typing in the destination which was the screen on the back wall. I nodded at the attendant and he turned off the lights, seconds later the operater had turned on the screen and my charts appeared. "Are you listening Marthur? These kids are the only fuel we need! They get interaction while they sleep and we get energy for the company! Now look at the charts behind me! The desire is there!" "What are you trying to persuade me into? I know you. You wouldn't be telling me this just to buy space. What do you want from me?" "An investment." "'An investment' he says. This is funny Drake. You expect me to trust you after last summers charade? I give you free space and you use it to send riddles to polluter companys." Drake gave me a sideways glance; last summer was my fault. But he had taken the blame. "There will be no money Dertago. " "Not this time, I assure you Marthur!" "You speak as if you were an adult, my equal calling me by my first name; you are not. You are a teenager. 'These kids' are your peers, your sisters peers. I know you don't go to school, but your sister does. Have you asked her what she thinks? But I'll give you this chance... What do you need?" My brother had looked sort of shamed just now but his face lit up, "Pop-up codes, rights to advertise on sights like yahoo, hotmail, google, etc. Billboard money, I can use anything you can give." Mr. Cunning looked at his gaurd and fingered him over. The guard came forward and gave him his ear. Mr. Cunning whispered something and then gaurd left from the broadcast area with a strange look on his face. Mr. Cunnning looked up at my brother again.. "Done. Tell your little assistant that the codes and necessary files are on their way. Don't disappoint me, Drake. You're a smart boy, worthy of your position. I wouldn't want to see that intellect wasted." Session Terminated Okay, I don't know if I'm going to use those people again. Skyscrapers and high-tec business worlds arent really my area. More so, the story is with the kids in Myralinna's school. This is all I can show you so far. I'll post more later on. Thanks for reading, Lindsey. |
