Yeah, this was an issue before because there was no way to include a reason. That's why Jusun added the part at the end so if we decide to reject something, we can give a reason why.

However, maybe there should be some sort of form.. When a graphic is rejected and no reason is given, you get a PM that's like "Sorry to inform you, but your ____ has been rejected" or something like that. If you leave a reason, the only thing that sends is your message so most of the time it's like "The image quality is bad and the colors don't match." So then the person thinks you're just insulting the graphic and don't realize it's been rejected necessarily.

Instead, I think it should send the default letter and if someone includes a reason, it should say something like this at the end:
And then there's the list. If that was the case, the moderator wouldn't have to worry about necessarily being nice, it could just say something like:
See how it's not in complete sentences? And it's not filled with "Awww it's okay, keep trying really!" It took two seconds to write that up.

Just a thought. _smile.gif
^ I like your idea. I wouldn't mind if the reason wasn't in complete sentences. I would be happy that the person took the time to give me C&C. happy.gif

^ There usually are reasons given with layouts, if not, you can PM one of the mods who run Design/Xanga/Myspace/LJ. But usually, it's layouts that get reasons and graphics that don't.

Personally, I don't see such a big deal for reasons for non-approved graphics. Keeping in mind that the flow of graphics such as submitted ones is a lot larger in number than layouts, it would be difficult to give reasons for each one. I don't think that it should be necessary unless the person who submitted it asks for it specifically.

There is a space, usually when I have a reason other than quality I would write it in. If the quality of the layout/graphic is poor. Then I'll just leave the area blank.

Graphics
bad
watermarks
copyrights
Poor quality image
Jocked images
Inappropriate/offensive theme
Tacky text or image effects

good
Pleasant colors (nothing too hard on the eyes)
Originality
Fair quality of image

^ I think that information should be posted in the Graphic's section so creators know what and what not to do.

So I think it's best if:
Graphics
bad
watermarks
copyrights
Poor quality image
Jocked images
Inappropriate/offensive theme
Tacky text or image effects

good
Pleasant colors (nothing too hard on the eyes)
Originality
Fair quality of image
^ All of the above should be posted in the Graphic's thread so that it gives certain reasons why the graphics weren't accepted.

It should make it a little easier for the approvers as well.
