Yeah, MySpace trains. All they are are bulletins with a bunch of "Add Me" links for various people. At the top of the page reads something along the lines of, "OH MY GOSH ADD HIM/HER HE/SHE WILL WHORE YOU AND BUY YOU A COOKIE OH MAH GAH!!!!" -_-

And the person might just have "awesome" pictures. So a whole shitload of the comments might just be, "Hey, you're so hot."

you dont need to be popular outside of the interent to be popular online.
They can just pretend to be someone they're not and add all these people and being that these people cant resist they'll accept and start the commenting from there. One can be someone totally different than who they really are behind the internet, and convince others to believe that they are who they "think" they are. I find it quite stupid to have so many friends.

Same here, except I'll friend the bands I like so I can go back and add their songs to my profile. I just don't understand the reasoning behind having over 500 friends. It's not like you can seriously communicate with all of them.

i think myspace whores are totally rediculous. There is no possible way that someone could know that many people for real. No way. And for those of you that actually have a myspace, you'll know how annoying it is to see bulletins from people with no real purpose.... having so many meaningless people on your friends list would only add to the number of insignificant posts. Why is everything such a horrible popularity contest?

anywayy a way to get many friends would be to talk to many random people, as was said before.

pretty easy/ there's a f ew people that if you add them they send you friend requests and all you do is accept. i used to have over 500 friends but then i realized... what the hell... i don't even know these people and they leave the dumbest comments.
so i deleted everyone except the real people i knew... o r some cool online people that i do actually talk to. it's pretty neat, because i've made friends that live right down the street from my grandparents on myspace, and i never knew they lived there. :P

Also, some people are just plain STUPID on myspace.
