A laptop is a computer. I imagine you mean "laptop or desktop". I guess it depends on what you plan on doing with it. I have a laptop (an iBook) and I love it, but I have a need for carrying one around a lot. A desktop is generally cheaper and more customizable.

I perfer a desktop. Cuz if i had a laptop then it would always be connected cuz of my internet thing and that would suck.

Networking functions the same on both types of computers. Laptops are only connected to the Internet when you want them to be.

Laptop! I love desktops way more, but laptops are cooler cuz you have the luxury of taking them wherever you want.

It depends on what you need a computer for. If it's for college or work, then get a laptop. But if doesn't need to be taken around, a desktop is a better option.

I'd have to say a laptop, because I like the thought of being able to take it with me everywhere, even though laptops generally have less RPMs than a desktop computer {As Kryogenix so kindly informed me. =)}.

I kinda don't know that much about wireless connections, but like, if a café has one, you should be able to get it too, right??

I like my laptop because I don't need a wireless card to get onto the net at all, I just have to press a button. ^^
