My favorite SNL cast members are:
Tina Fey, Andy Samberg, Amy Poehler, Will Forte, and Seth Meyers. Those are the ones from this cast, as of 3-19-06. Who are yours, current and/or all time? |

I liked old school SNL back when Adamn Sandler was in it. I remember that episode when they did a skit of him running a show about getting over his ex-girlfriend

Tim Meadows has long been my favorite SNL cast member. He was around for most of the time I actively watched the show, and the show really took a nosedive once he left. Cheri Oteri was pretty cool, too (she left around the same time as Meadows). I've always liked Molly Shannon, too.
The early and mid 1990's had a lot of great SNL players. I think Colin Quinn was one of the best WU commentators (he had a real knack for delivering his lines with a straight face). Norm McDonald and Kevin Nealon were great, too. To be honest, I never liked Jimmy Fallon and Tina Fey as the WU anchors. |

TINA FEY. TINA FEY. God, I love her. Plus, she grew up around the corner from me (obviously, I wasn't alive). I miss Jimmy Fallon. I love Amy and Will, too.

Chris Farley was laugh out loud funny at times, but I still think Will Ferrel's nude pose skit was the funniest SNL moment ever.
Overall though I'd say Norm McDonald was my favorite SNL cast member -- nothing like a Canadian with a dry sense of humor that always keeps a straight face. |

Cue me dating myself. My favorite ever is Bill Murray, hands down. His "Star Wars...nothing but...bar wars...." (sung to the Star Wars theme) kills me every time. Gilda Radner was a classic character performer as well. I have yet to see anything as original as her "Rosanne Rosannadanna" character. No other female SNL actress has come even close in my opinion. Chevy Chase was the original "Weekend Update" anchor and I haven't been terribly thrilled with anyone else in that spot since he left. |

He may keep a straight face, but something in his presentation just deprives his jokes of humor. Norm is alright, and I liked Kevin Nealon, but I am quite fond of Jimmy and Tina.
