I suppose I have. Once, after using AIM, my writing was all demented.

You know? I was typing to my friend and I suddenly started using BBcode. So I'll type and I'll end it with "[ /size ]" for no reason. But no, because my typing style is so distinctive... I sign onto my friend's account and I was talking to one of his friends and they were all "WHO ARE YOU?" on me. Haha... I totally can't type like that anymore. Altho I leave off the ending of "though". I've always done that and... Use to many ellipses and emotes. I think that's how you spell it.
Oh, but I can't spell anyways, so... Spellcheck is my BEST FRIEND. |

I type normally now. Phew. I used to put all those irritating z's and do the whole "ROFLMAO" thing. I never experienced AIM delirium though. That's a good thing to know.

I typically use regular English on IM. The one thing I don't do is capitalize everything like I do everywhere else. Call me lazy, but that's just too much work.
Another thing is, I can't tolerate even talking to people who type like idiots. I don't expect perfect punctuation, but please, don't dumb down your spelling. It's obnoxious and only makes you look bad. |

I use regular grammar in my AIM conversations, so I've never had that problem. :)

I don't have that sort of problem. When I'm IMing someone, I spell things out all the way. I type things out the way I would say them. Using abbreviations and slang...I'm just over it. I'm not 12 anymore, lol. It's just not appealing to me. As it once was.

I don't use abbreviations either...
The problem I have is that I'm not used to IM, so I type SUPER fast, then I have trouble slowing down because my fingers are spazzing... then I make spelling mistakes. |
