Opacity changes, why can't I get them to work? Options

I'm trying to give this site a dark green background behind the blog.

but I want it at 70% opacity

here's everything in his Custom Header:

He's using a background image, that he pasted in the background area of his look & feel. And this won't work in Firefox. And it's not .blogbody if you're using a default xanga layout.

Firefox was my problem.

I tried table.blogbody but that didn't work either
