oh please, everyone else "is" already using IE. it should be the other way, actually getting people "off" of IE. i use mozilla and have always have. gives me detailed error messages in it's javascript console. unlike IE with just gives "unknown runtime error" pffft.

java console, dom inspector and javascript debugger also comes with mozilla. that just rocks off anything on IE.

jeppu, i think you mean mozilla fire"bird". never heard of firefox. firebird is the standalone browser, just the browser. the standard mozilla package comes with an e-mail client, irc chat and address book with a lot of features each.

and most of all, mozilla supports png's alpha channel plus it follows web standards. IE? well, microsoft has never bothered about web standards imho.

i`m waiting IE7 to be out. the devolopers said it will come with WINXP SPII. i CAN`T WAIT biggrin.gif

im using the sp2 beta .. and it doesnt come with ie7 .. just 6.0.2900.2055. but it does have a "popup blocker" that is subpar compared to mozilla. lol and its firewall thing is such a nuissance that i shut it off. maybe when sp2 goes live it will have a different version.

i use both IE and FireFox. I use Firefox for surfing random sites since it's faster.. and the tabs are very convenient instead of separate windows. but for viewing xangas I use IE b/c most people confugure their xangas with IE. My xanga looks so messed up in Firefox. My transparent bg is now a nasty blue. My CSS is useless since firefox overrides many of the settings like font height, fixed backgrounds and div positions. I'm too lazy to fix it for another browser. ngek

But after reading everyone's comments, I think I'll try out Mozilla.

if you just want the browser, get fire fox. but mozilla 1.6 is nice too.

Wow I can't believe it's only been known as Firefox for a little bit over two years. I know for a fact when this thread was posted I was still using IE. XD.gif
