this isn't about me... it's about a friend

she's been going out with this guy for 2 years... he's a senior, she's a freshman. everytime i see them together, she's never smiling and she never looks happy. he doesn't let her hug, talk, or be near guys and restricts her to a lot of things. so during this year, she started getting interested in this other guy (a sophomore), and everytime i see them together, she's always smiling and she's so happy. it was obvious that they liked each other, but she didn't want to hurt her 2=year boyfriend. then... one day, at her birthday party, all she did was dance with the sophomore guy she liked... and her senior boyfriend started crying and broke up with her.

she decided she wanted to wait a little while after they were broken up before going out with the sophomore guy, so her old boyfriend wouldn't get hurt. but... she ended up going to prom with the senior guy, and she still acts like they're actually "together". so... her sophomore guy hears this rumor about how the senior guy and her were making out and he gets angry. she gets upset at him for being angry, because they weren't even going out yet... and she also said the rumors were lies.

now, she's fighting with both of them and doesn't know which one to chose. she says she doesn't want either of them anymore, but i know that inside,... she needs the sophomore. you can see it... whenever they're together, its like noone else in the world matters. i think if she keeps up this stubbornness, though, and keeps playing around with BOTH the guys.. she'll end up hurting herself AND the guys.

she's asking for help with this... and i don't know what to tell her. i tried telling her to try to consider what both the guys are thinking, but it just gets her upset.
any suggestions?

[whew... that was a mouthful]
