People these days seem to against interracial dating, especially between Asians and whites. Is there something wrong with dating someone with a different skin color or ancestry?

although this topic hurts me to talk about i will add my two cents and be done! i believe you my be with who ever you fall in love with black, white, asian, spanish so on and so on. but there are many people out there who dont agree such as my mother and father. i dated this guy named kelvin for a while and he is african american and he was the sweetest smartest guy i ever met but i ended up not with him because it was to hard to hear what they had to say about! still to this day he is my bestfriend but yes i do regret dumping him! BUT AS I SAID BEFORE DO NOT BE AFRAID OF WHO YOU LOVE! IT DOESNT MATTER WHO THEY ARE!!!

I live and have grown up in Alabama where a lot of our schooling is teaching us about racial problems and why they exist and how we should be blind to color...but when I dated a black guy my Junior and Senior years of high school contreversy was all around us!! most of all though it was from his parents saying they did not want their son dating a white girl b/c they didn't want him to have to go through that kind of pressure!! I honestly see nothing wrong with interacial dating and find that people who do have a problem with it are stupid dumbass uneducated racists who just need to get over the color of peoples skin! And to top that off I realize that hearing this from some white chick porbably wont turn peoples heads as much as it would if it was coming from the black guy I dated but I really think you should hear me out and the next time you see an interacial couple walking down the street you shouldn't think WTF are they doing....you should think wow society has finally progressed to a point where people don't have to be afraid of walking down the street holding the hand of another race and being judged for doing so!! i know I'm kind of rambling but growing up in the south I think I have a right to ramble!!

Race has and never will matter to me. I'm a Filipina and my boyfriend of almost 2 years is Mexican/White. People including our "closest friends" have said a lot of mean things since the very beginning of our relationship, but we've learned to just ignore them.
