Today in the advandced math classes was Pi day b/c pi-3.14 and it's 3/14. Everyone had to bring in circular stuff to eat, and they made pi necklaces that had the actually entire pi not just 3.14. i'm not in advanced math but i was just wondering if you guys had pi day.

Yeah, some of the High school classes did - Geometry, Alg. II ... etc. I'm in Pre-Calc, and my teacher didn't even bother. A lot of people in other classes had to turn in food related to pi, or a poem, or a song..

Nope, I didn't have anything. I was taking exams today. I'm sure the younger grades had Pi Day though.

I forgot until I got on my xanga and read my subscriptions. FOUR of my friends' entries started with "HAPPY PI DAY!" No, we're not geeky in the least.

hahahahah...for our school, the math department "celebrated" Pi Day by hosting a competition of who could memorize Pi to the furthest decimal point. how pointless.

In 8th grade this kid memorized all of Pi to boost his grade, he was failing.

how much is all of pi?

We didn't celebrate Pi Day, but last year in chemistry we celebrated Mole Day. We had a party in class; my friends made t-shirts. And today at lunch we celebrated Purim, even though only two people at the table were Jewish [/completely unrelated]

How long do you have your spring break for? It seem like you have a longer spring break than me. Boo. sad.gif

Hm, I never had one before. I thought the title said PJ day, so I was like hey, we had PJ day! But then I read it wrong. rolleyes.gif I never had anything like pi day. At my school, you can only have parties during 6th period and my teacher for 6th is not up for parties.
