Strangely, everyone here calls me by my English name rather than my Chinese one, even if they speak Cantonese all the time.

^ Haha! Yan Lin! Our names are almost the same!

My birth name is Hersa, and my Chinese name is Chu Yan-Yan. "Chu" is my clan name and "Yan" is a type of bird, the swallow. I like both of my names but my family and friends call me Yan/ Yan-Yan.

I was born here and I still have a foreign name. For all of you that don't know my real name is Ekkarut. No I'm not related to Dragon Ball Z's Goku in any way.

Eddie isn't my online name though, it's rather a nickname that I use since I was born. It's easier to pronounce than Ekkarut.

I'm Thai by the way.

Lol i have a foreign name. Whenever ppl hear it theyre like ITS SO BEAUTIFUL! lol my friends is Divya. I think thats really pretty. Diiiivvvyyaaa. But most ppl totally mess it up, which is fine for the first time but gets old after like the 10th time. And my other friends name is Gopika...now shortened to PIKA lol! Truth is, most indian names are pretty easy to pronouce if you take the time and look at it. Chinese names...are a bit harder since some have accents...like my friends name has a certain accent and if you dont pronouce that accent your saying her cousins name =-= lol

My real name is Bidita (it's a Bengali name because my parents are from India) and my "middle" name is Teesa. So I always have to say I go by Teesa. But everyone likes saying both names nowadays, so I answer to whatever =]

same here, my real name is aeyung, but my "middle" name is christine. i definitely prefer aeyung, but usually only asian people call me that.
