Do you adjust the time of the clocks in your home faster/slower than the actual time by a few miunutes or so?
In my home, the wall clock is fast by 10 minutes, while the clock in the bathroom is fast by 5 minutes. A few other clocks are either fast or slow by around 3 minutes... not sure. So... if you do this in your home, does your brain tell you the time you see on the clock or does it automatically process the actual time for you? Well maybe as I know how fast/slow each clock is, I somehow tell myself the actual time (not the one I see on the clock) instead. Which makes the adjusting of the clock... pretty useless. P.S. I searched in The Lounge and nothing came up. And I love the new search bar! ![]() |

Ooh, nice topic! XD
Actually, our clock in the kitchen is set 15 minutes later than its regular time. It sort of helps us keep track of time better than if we were to set the clock at its normal time. |

My alarm clock is 10 minutes fast. I know that it's 10 minutes fast, so it doesn't really do any good. But if I changed it now, I would probably be late because I'd still think it's 10 minutes fast.
My bathroom clock is like 10-15 minutes fast, I don't really know. We didn't do that on purpose, it just.. happened. |

In our house we have one of those clocks that recieves radio signals from that US time center place, so it's always accurate. We don't even have to set it for daylight savings. We love it because we're lazy and it means we don't have to bother. All our wristwatches are coordinated with it.

my wrist watch is set up with w/ the clock at school. Yeah, same here. But I think all the clocks in my home are all in sync with the actual time. Actually, now that I think about it, my microwave clock is set one hour ahead. I was just too lazy to change it back after DST. |

My alarm clock and microwave time are set 5 minutes ahead. The clock on my bedroom wall is about 5-10 minutes ahead. The clock in my living room is accurate though. My wristwatch is also a few minutes ahead so I can hurry to school and not be marked late.

I used to set my watches early, but now I don't because I never knew what exact time it was because I'd forget how early it was.

Winnie, I love you for making this topic :)
Seriously, all the clocks in my house are all with different times. The one I pay the most attention to is a few minutes fast, so I know when I'm running late. And if I ever need to know the exact time, I look at my cell phone because it's the only thing that I have that has the most accurate time. |

lol I HAVE to set the clocks atleast 5-7 minutes fast.
It just helps me get moving lol. Otherwise I will dilly dally, so it helps me speed up :) Although, the stove clock and my cell phone are set on time. And if i'm freaking out too much about getting to class ontime or something, then I will remind myself in the car, okay you have 5 extra minutes, remember? lol yah |

blah i'm always late so i try setting my clock a few minutes fast but i always know that it's fast so it doesn't really work...the clock i used to have on top of my tv was 5 minutes fast and that annoyed me but i was too lazy to go fix it so i got accustomed to it. then when someone fixed it, i got confused and had to get reacquainted with telling time normally.

i am a perfectionist, so when i set my clock i sit right infront of a channel that has the exact hour, minute & second. i hate being late even by a second, so i sit there for like 20 minutes trying to get both clocks on the exact second together.
i know what a loser ![]() wtf? do you understand that... |

in sync with actual time .
i mean, what's the point of setting a clock faster when you already know that it's faster . like if you have to leave the house at 6:30, but you see 6:25, you can just chill and say " ah it's okay i have 10 minutes " . but you would have the same reaction as if you saw the clock as 6:20 . but my computer's clock is waaaaaaay fast so it's like 30 minutes ahead, haha . so i always have to subtract 20 - 30 minutes for an estimated-actual time . or just look at my phone |

omg we have a new search bar too???
![]() The clock that I go by when I'm getting ready for school is like 15 minutes fast. The only reason I don't set it right is because then I'd always forget that I fixed it and then it throws my whole schedule off. |

I don't. I like to know the real time.
But my mom doesn't, lol. She likes being on time, and early. So she has her car clock about 2 or 3 minutes fast. |

My clock in my room is 6 min fast. I set it that way when I was learning to subtract so I could practice lol.
