I'm with the majority of girls here in saying abortion is wrong. I'd have to say I'd put him/her up for adoption...then get counseling because I'd probably end up being crazier than I already am. LOL

Sorry I'm a guy, but I'd like to point out the fact that you wouldn't really know how you would react to being pregnant after being raped until you've actually experienced it.
You can psychoanalyze it all you want: There is a conflict of interest if you have the baby and give it up for adoption. There is a conflict of interest if you plan on aborting it and your morals stand against that sort of thing. No matter what happens from that point, it's a horrible situation to be faced with, and many people's morals buckle under that kind of pressure. Luckily for you, rape is uncommon, no matter how much the media powers that be advertise it as a dire threat. I'm not saying it's not possible, I'm just saying that they like to scare you with it and blow the problem out of proportion. You will most likely never be faced with the situation in your life, though, you should know how to defend yourself against someone who might attempt it. But please, don't use any anti-rapist techniques on innocent guys. We have feelings too. |

I'm personally not a kid person & I actually can't have kids, but if I were to get pregnant I would get an abortion. It would be better for the child & myself.

Even though I am Catholic, I would still have an abortion. I mean you're too young to go through the pain of childbirth, then giving it away. And keeping it would just remind you of the burden you would have to keep for the rest of your life.

I'm pro-choice, but I would still have the baby then put it up for adoption.
I couldn't live with myself if I just let it die, but I'm really to young to be able to support a child financially. Putting it up for adoption is the best way in my opinion, the child will live in a healthy happy home(hopefully). If they ever came to find me I would just explian toe them what happened. They can give you anesthetics during birth not to feel the pain, also you could give it to a serrogate mother(if you can find one) if your body is just to weak. Ofcourse doing that may cause trouble during the transfer and you have to make that decision very early during pregnancy. I think my body would be just fine to have a child, I'm not going to grow much more. I'm strong and healthy. 10 years olds have had children, I'm almost 15. I look older. I really could not bear having an abortion. |

If I was old enough to take care of it, I would keep it. If not, like say I got raped tomorrow, I would probably put it up for adoption.
I, however, have the perfect plan if I'm ever getting raped/about to get raped. I shall pretend to have a seizure.

When I first read the question, my gut reaction to that was "adoption", and I honestly think that's what I would do. I wouldn't want to have a reminder of that horrible event, but I most certainly wouldn't want to abort. It's not the baby's fall, or my own.

Wow. I picked adoption. Abortion, in my mind, is still murder in a way. & I seriously just couldn`t keep it, seeing as he/she might look like the guy. &, its just better with adoption-- no one would ever have to know. I`d feel terrible for the kid living with a burden of being a "mistake".
