I was just curious but did anyone ever hear about this? Ok so if you had a toostie roll pop and on the wrapper if it had a Indian shooting a star you would get a free bag of tootsie roll pops if you sent the wrapper to the company in the mail? I remember in 3rd grade when my teacher did that..but she didn't get any back. Well anyways yesterday I went on to this site [urban legends] and they had an article about it and I guess it was false and it was some type of urban legend...you can read about it here.. happy.gif

I always looked for the Indian shooting the star when I was a little kid. One time I almost sent it in. The envelope was covered with drawings of stars and "I won"s. laugh.gif

But that's false?! That sucks. D:

I remember that. I guess they started the rumor to promote the product, and decided to leave it mysterious so they wouldn't have to give away free merchandise.

Omg, are you kidding me? I swear I posted in here last night, and if I didn't then CB ate my post or something because I DO know that I typed it up.

Anyway, when I was little I used to get so excited when I got one of those wrappers, but that's all it was.. I never bothered to send them in. I did think it was real at the time, though. I don't remember when I read the article telling my poor disappointed soul that it was a myth.

Thanks for the burst of nostalgia, though. _smile.gif

I've heard of that. As a kid, I always looked for the star, but never thought to send it in. I also heard something about winning if you get three whole circles (in the center).
