prompted by a sex and the city rerun and the crazy day I had:

I was suppose to go on a school trip to Boston today and see my crush who I havn't seen in like a yr and a half. We had a meeting last night getting all pumped up for it...and then this moring they cancelled it because of a blizzard that was suppose to hit sunday when we would be coming back.

Naturally i was really depressed...but then I called to apologize to him about not being able to hang out...my first time calling him. happy.gif it was a great convo, I felt like we took a huge step forward. And I feel more comfortable about seeing him over spring break now. Of course im still sad that i won't see him for a while, but then i thought maybe i wasn't ready? aka, maybe this happened for a reason?

thoughts/stories??

Yes i do. That's why i'm not too worried about my situation. I know everything's gonna end up being the way it's supposed to be and i can only do so much.

If something different and exciting happens then i go for it and see where it takes me.

i believe that everything happens for a reason. when one door closes, another door opens. sure, you missed out on seeing him but in return you got to get close to him anyway, maybe closer than you would have if you saw him.

Yes i think everything happens for a reason. I think there's such thing as fate, destiny... What's meant to be is meant to be. If you die tomorrow, you die for a reason (maybe because God felt like you lived enough, that you were ready to go to heaven, maybe you suffered enough, maybe the world no longer needs you-- whatever it is, there's a reason).

i think everything does happenf or a reason..

like this is a lame example but hey... me and my gf broke up and she sorta like broke my heart.. so all i did was like whine and stuff for a month and then saw how much of an a-hole i was... then i started talking to other girls and i became more outgoing and i learned so much.. now me and my ex gf got back together (i ended up breaking some hearts becasue of this.. seriously) and now i feel we had a way better relationship now than we ever did in those last 6 months... but yeah

idk. yeah

I think errthing does happen for a reason if you let it happen. But if you can do something to alter it, then it's not ment to happen.

i strongly believe that everything happens for a reason. even if you try to change whats meant to happen, your trying to change it was meant to happen. does that make sense? sometimes good things come out of bad things. you never know until you really think about it. like me, i use to never think about it and i just thought about every bad thing that happened to me, but then i realised that a lot of good things resulted because of it...so yeahhh wink.gif

indeed because if we had never moved to virginia and my dad never got promoted i wouldnt have met all the fabolous people i have met. me not getting a job at tj maxx prompted marshalls application and my interview. though they havent called me back *yet* _unsure.gif its still all good. if i never got a job at a waterpark, i would have never gotten free passes to busch gardens, and bonded with a few awesome people...

i have never been happier and im not sure i can say that if i stayed in california...everything happens for a reason in my opinion

i think everything happens for a reason. if something bad happens in your life, it can eventually lead to something better.

Most people don't like the idea that their lives are chaotic and random; look at the prevalence of religion for proof. Humans naturally try to attribute a reason to just about everything—X happened because of Y, and so forth. I don't believe this. To believe everything happens for a reason necessitates believing in Fate to some degree, an idea that I not only don't like, but is unsupported.

Another reason it might seem like things happen for a reason is because people only focus on events that can be linked to a conclusion. For instance, say I leave work, walk out to my car, and trip on my shoelaces. No big deal—an event I am likely to forget, because it's not unusual. But one day, I trip and fall—and because of the time delay, I avoid getting hit by a car. It would be foolish to say I tripped for a reason, because that ignores all the other times I have tripped, but didn't link them to any future event.

Things always happen for a reason. To me, when it comes to everyones love lifes, it can go two ways when stuff does happen. Bad stuff that is.

1) Stuff happens and one or both of the couples/crushes are depressed. Then another thing comes by which blows the other idea away. In other words, whatever it is, it's more worth it than the thing that ruined whatever they had in mind at first.

2) Stuff happens and they are left alone. In the future, either they are still heartbroken, or the girl/boy comes running back to them once they realize who they truly have feelings for.

Don't mind me about what I just said. I don't think it makes sense much. That's what you get with studying and working for exams, and staying up late to complete isps for the past 2 days (5 AM). Yawn* Now it's "just. the. exams"

Nothing happens for a reason.
Things happen, and you associate reasons to them based on their outcomes.
I freaking hate that quote.

Reasons happen for everything.

Sure. Somethings were just meant to be like that. Even the bad things can turn worst and even the good things can turn bad.

....hm...true. but..-

DARN, you always convince me to the other point of view with your arguments. that is true, but i didn't really think about the little things, like shoelaces. i viewed the concept in a bigger perspective, like something bad happening that leads to something good. like...getting fired from your job, but then happening to find a bigger company to work for.

My entire life.... everything I have ever done... It's all happened for a reason, and, although its extemely difficult at times, I have been thankful for everything... God has a master plan. Only he knows everything, and does everything becuase he loves us. Even the horrible things.

I'll tell you a good story... although it's not one of the significant things, it is a good story.

I recently moved to a poor neighborhood... My father durring the winter decided to let some kids into our house so they could warm up because it was so cold outside. I'm a huge xbox fan
and at the time I had about 4000-5000 dollars worth of xbox merchendice. These poor freezing children caught one glimpse of my beutiful xbox and all of its glory, and decided to steeal all of it... I was furious... It was my collection. My hobby... my beutiful collection and all of its glory taken... over 50 xbox games (includeing steel battalion, a rare 200$ mech simulation game), 2 xbox game systems, 6 controllers, 2 dvd remotes... and high deffinition cables taken... That same week I recieved 2 speeding tickets (both of them i was going 20mph over the speed limit.)... I was hurting, but turned out that the insurance company decided to pay for all the games i had lost... i recived a check for $3600 (a 500 dollar deductable) for all the items they had stolen and was able to pay for all the speeding tickets ($1000 with lawyer)... I was so happy... not only that, but it relieved me of my major addiction to video games. :)

Also, Holly has been huge proof in my life that everything happens for a reason... even if we don't stay together forever... We both will gain so much from our relationship. I love you sunshine... :)... oops, i forgot... you like the other face... :]
