the word lol has been used so many times, but i don't even remember the last time i literally did Laugh Out Loud. i know there are handfuls of people who use this word and don't really mean it. are you one of those people ?

I never use "lol", except when to blatantly mock Internet memes and culture.

I'm the one who use it all the time, even though I'm not laughing, for me it symbolizes that I'm contented, and I'm not serious, or angry

I have a tendency to laugh - full-on belly laugh a lot. I can't help it, I find humor in so many things. So when I type "LOL," chances are I mean it.

Sorry, first off,(I just feel nit-picky) "lol" isn't a word. Anyway, moving on. I use "lol" a lot. I don't always really laught out loud when I use it, sometimes I do though. Its now more used for when I find something funny.

Eh, I don't use "lol." Instead, I usually write "haha", and I am usually laughing when I type that. Sometimes, I say "lol" with my friends if something is especially funny, in a mocking way though.

I don't really put "lol" unless I'm really laughing out loud in front of the computer screen, I'm not neccesarily laughing like crazy, but i'm literally laughing out loud.

I never put lol...I used to use it a lot, and then realized how it was...taking over nearly everything I said, so I stopped. I can't remember the last time I used it. But I do remember that when I did use it, I never really did laugh out loud. I used to just say it when I had nothing to say.

internet, lol.

lol is a cheap term to me. lol doesn't mean laugh out loud. It means, "heh, that was mildly amusing."

We (as in my particular group of friends), use -snicker- or something like that. When I say "lol", on the odd occasion, I do really mean it. And if I say I fell off my chair, chances are I did.

When I say "LOL" I'm not physically laughing out loud, but I do think that what was said was funny.
