I'm planning on doing text all the way around the border of a square and I was wondering how to turn the text 90 degrees.
Understand? Like for example to make this text I'm typing right now go this way L I K E T H I S Except have the letters turned too. |

In Elements, I have a tool called the Vertical Type tool. PSP doesn't tho. Which I find slightly... Eh.
 But otherwise, you could do as you've done above with one letter each line.

well, you can try messing around with ms paint. hold down CTRL + R and like,test it out.

^I forgot to mention, I have photoshop 5.0. Yeah it's old, but it's what I have lol.
And as to just typing it out like that, it was the letters to be turned too, so like you'd have to turn the paper to read it. |

oh, i get it now..sitll,use paint. pull down the text typing thing,and make it skinny and long. type and fix it till you get what you want.

Rotate the layers then.
You can do that in 5.0, right? o.o So yeah. S'not extremely hard.

Well, since you're PS is old. Have you tried doing what you did on you're post. Typing 1 letter, and enter, 1 letter, and enter, and so on.
