Actually, I don't think it looks like Thai.. my grandmother's housekeeper is Thai, and she showed me how to write. It's more.. curly is how I would put it.

I knew about that, it's Babayin. It doesn't really fit with the modern Tagalog, so you'd have to acctually learn how to speak the old, old Tagalog to write it. There's no point in learning it anymore, it's wayy out dated. That's before Spain came, mind you.
