My parents and I are physically distant and barely see each other due to their devotion to make sure we have food on the table. But on rare times when we go on vacations, I find myself in a state of perplexity when I realize how much they know about me and care about me.

Oh and this needs to be moved to relationships

I think I get along quite well with my parents now. We rarely have fights. Heck, I can't even remember the last time we fought.

my mom and i have a almost good relationship. The only thing i hate about her is that she treats me like a freaking baby, like she doesnt want me 2 grow up. We get into a lot of fights, but nothing serious. Just about little things like me not being able 2 go 2 the movies, buy certain clothes, and stuff like that.

my dad and i used 2 have a good relationship. We got along pretty good when i was little, he spoiled me. But now i dont talk 2 him and i hate him.

No, my parents arent divorced. I dont think they wanna get divorced, cuz then my sis and i would have 2 spilt up. And i dont wanna go with him. He's just far away from us(like in a different country). Our lifes are better without him.

Hmm..

I chose Other

Because I have a HORRIBLE relationship with my father, but IDk I guess it's getting better? I don't argue with him so much nor do I yell with him as much. Actually, he's been yelling at my sister more now. It used to be the other way around -- him and I would yell at each other and he would be nice to my sister. Although, I still loathe my father and ignore him as much as I can.
I have every right to be mad at my father, for all the horrible things that he did to the rest of my family and me.

As for my mother, yea we have a good relationship. Although since she's getting old, sometimes I forget and I don't give her time to rest haha pinch.gif Or I'm too noisy or something. Sometimes I stay up late and she's really tired and I start to cause a lot of racket and yea... pinch.gif

So I guess it's split? Dunno.

And Maryissa - Aww I know what you mean. My parents used t be so strict, where I wasn't even really allowed to use the phone! I didn't even stay after school, unless it was for a school dance in middle school becuase I had to help set up (it was mandatory). But this year, since I'm a senior, I can go out more. Plus, now I'm 18 so my parents sort of realized that I'm older now and I should figure out everything by myself. They shouldn't shelter you too much, but deep down, at times I miss being sheltered. Having too much freedom, as silly as this might sound, can sometimes be bad. sweating.gif

I have a horrile relationship with my father. He's basically my opressor. (sp? sorry about that) We just, don't get along. At all. I can't stand it. And I wish my mom would speak up more. He just does whatever he wants, and she's just sort of like "ok, whatever you say...".

Eh, I don't get along well with my parents. We used to yell and fight with each other all the time. They annoy and bother me so much and they try to restrict me and control me. However, this year, they've loosened up a little bit, probably because it's senior year.
