I probably have a californian accent. I don't know. Chinese girl with a californian accent?

God. I hate Chinese accents. My parents are pretty damn fobby. They're so hard to impersonate properly though.
I'm a Californian girl, and I'm told I have a very faint New Jersey accent, despite the fact that I've lived here my entire life. (I have no idea what they're talking about.)

Perhaps it's because I'm Chinese and I'm pretty used to listening to it that it doesn't get on my nerves.

I find it rude that people make fun of kids with accents.
It's not their fault the just are from a different country w/ a different language.
Like today this spanish girl was trying to say the name Deon (pronounced Dee on) and it came out Dee lan.
Then all these kids started mocking her.
I'm like shut up it's not her fault.
And some other kid was saying this girl from Iran was stupid so I told them to back off that she was really smart which she was.
I can't beleive how people can be so prejudice mad.gif
*

The kid I was talking about has NO English heritage. Irish mother, irish father, irish grandparents, and has never even been to England in his life, yet he speaks with an English accent. It's not natural. it's just plain weird.

it's really wierd.
when you listen to yourself speak, you can't hear the accent.
but try recording yourself talking. you'll hear it. LOL

While that is amazing and all, it has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of what accents do you DISLIKE.

And what is up
with people typing
like this. You don't need
to begin a new line
when there is no need to do
so. STOP.

I don't like the Mexican-ish accents. Well at least when they speak in English. It jus sounds dirty. That being said, I do love when people speak Spanish. Tis weird.

I also agree with Anna on the Indian comment.

Even though I speak Arabic myself, I don't like Arabic accents... they just bother me.
As for Chinese accents, since a lot of people were talking about them, I like those. They're just hard to understand. My friend is Chinese, and sometimes I'm afraid to talk to her parents because I can't understand them that well. mellow.gif
