Choking Game, Pass Out and Get a High Options

Don't think for a second this is a 'safe' thing to do. Kids are DYING! Kids just like you - DEAD! My 11 year old son, DEAD! Normal, good kids who thought they would just pass out - DEAD! Brain damage occurs EVERY time you 'play'. YOu never know when you're going to pass out, have a heart attack, have a stroke, go into a seizure. It's not worth your life- to 'play' the choking game. yup! i tried this one so many times... and i only faint once... the worst thing is that no one catch me while i was falling (unconcuous)... and i hit my head on the ground .... they didnt catch me cuz they thought that i wouldnt faint and i was just joking...

wow; this is actually my first time hearing of this. I mean i've heard of people doing stupid things to prove to others that they were tough. But choking themselves is plain stupid. Who the heck can be that stupid to do that sort of thing. If you wanna get high cant you just eat alot of sugar and go on a sugar rush >_>

I saw something about it in the news awhile back.
It's just so scary to think that you can die from that sort of thing, but I think that's partially why it excites the kids who do it.

I had several of my friends over for a sleepover one night. & one of them brought it up, so they did it on a few others (only because she tried it before & it worked & was 'awesome). I just told them to stop cause i didnt want anything to happen & i just went to sleep. so the next morning they were telling me about it & how it was 'fun' so i did it once. It worked. But it wasn't exactly getting high, (but i wouldnt know what that felt like anyway). i just passed out for about 10 seconds & had a really weird dream. then i woke up & they were all laughing.

I AM NEVER GOING TO DO IT AGAIN.

I have a little story for this topic.

I actually learned about that back in the 5th grade. But we didn't call it the choking game, we just called it "passing out". My friends taught it to me, and we did it regularly just for fun. We honestly has no clue that it was bad for us, either.
The way she taught it to me was to breathe deeply for ten seconds, and then place both hands over your throat. Somehow, that knocks you out for about a minute, and when you wake up, you get the WEIRDEST feeling. Your body shivers, and you feel lightheaded.
Anyhow, I stopped doing that a few months ago. End of story.

anyway, yeah our science teacher told us about that. some people said they'd seen kids do it in a big circle behind some trailors but i've never seen it. it's about the dumbest thing i've EVER heard of. how can choking possibly be fun?

actually, it's a variation of something known as "autoerotic asphyxiation", where a person uses a lack of oxygen to increase the feelings during masturbation. i've only heard of it once or twice outside of aea, but i've no comment towards opinions (having never seen the after effects or experienced it).

My stepdad's co-workers' son recently died from that game. He was 12. The sad thing is that he and his dad were close.

In a confusing and twisted way though I can understand. It's just like alcoholics or drug addicts, just the overall effect is more sudden.
