not sure if the lounge is the right place.
move if needed

ok, so what happens if someone keeps dreaming of you, but not neccessary a recurring dream because you do something different everytime..let's say...just the same person, what does that mean?

You've been thinking alot about that person, lately.
It depends who it is. Are you in this situation, or are you just curious?

They are thinking about you a lot through the day, or before bed. Or there is something going on between you two, not exactly romantic, although it could be, but something that either is bothering the other person without knowing and their brain is sending messages in their sleep, or there is something they need to do/say/etc. with you.

Perhaps they're thinking about you right before they go to bed. I know that when I talk to my bf on my cell and hang up on him right before I go to bed, often times I end up dreaming about it. But then again, this is slightly a different case so.. yea...

Dreams could mean something. Romance? Dunno. Also, maybe there's something about you that really interests the person. Also, it depends on the types of dreams as well. Like, say you were dying in his/her dreams, but dying in different ways, you know? Like it could mean that the person fears that you'd die or something? Or wants to kill you? jk lol but you never know! lol.

But hey, dreams can mean a lot of things. Perhaps these dreams could be premonitions, which is why it really depends on what happens in the dream itself.

MOVED TO RELATIONSHIPS

Since it's about someone else that dreams about you and yea...

that they're on your mind right before you fall asleep.

i heard that what you dream of, is the last thing that's on your mind before you fall asleep. i'm not sure if that's entirely true or not.

Dreams rarely map well to any significance in real life.

I highly disagree with that. Dreaming isa state of mind that helps you resolve with problems occurring in real life. sprung.

Dreaming is thought to deal with sensory input from long-term memory storage. In that sense, it does map to real life, in that anything stored in long-term memory may arise in a dream; but it's not thought that the brain is trying to "resolve" any sort of concern, but rather that it is trying to make sense out of random, nonsensical impulses from certain centers of the brain.

I dream about the same person a lot. I think it's just that you think about them a lot, and they end up in your dreams.

yup, that's basically it-- hidden emotions or maybe they just have something important to tell you.

i use to have reoccuring dreams about someone and sometimes i still do but it's not as bad as before. the funny thing was that i never thought that i had feelings for them when i did, so it sort of creeped me out. somehow, it took me awhile to realize that.

it could really mean anything..

for example lately i have been having dreams about this guy but they werent good.. he has always been a jerk to me and he has made me cry numerous times .. so i really havent been having dreams about him they were nightmares

and another example is that i have recently been having a lot of dreams about my new bf...

so it really could be anything

I think some psychologist found out about that. USUALLY it's true so people tend to study for a major test right before going to bed.

My friend said it works better if you repeat what you want to remember at least 3 times.

No. Dreams don't work quite like that. Or, at least, it's not suspected they do—a lot of the causes of dreaming are unknown, or at least not proven, but merely thinking about something before going to sleep is not necessarily a catalyst for dreaming of that thought.

it just might be desires.
after all, it's just dreams.
& don't take dreams too personally,
you might confuse them with reality.
