I was at the doctor's yesterday because I just told my mom I needed to see him. I asked her to leave the room and talked to him because I was feeling depressed, and he told me that he was going to prescribe anti-depressents, but I needed to talk to a specialist first for some reason. He explained something with the Columbine thing, but I really didn't get it. I tried talking to my parents and they said that I don't need it and I'll get over it. My doctor was going to give me Prozac, but he said I couldn't and all that. So anyhoo, I really don't know what to do because I've been feeling worse and worse. The doctor even talked to my parents, but they say that it is stupid and people just make money off of it. I have tried getting parents and other people to talk to them, but they ignore whatever they say and just keep telling me it's a stupid idea. Any ideas on what to do?

Okay, well maybe anti-depressants are a good idea. Steer clear of prozac or zoloft though, cause they do not help. Trust me. However, maybe you should just find something that makes you happy, and if you're still feeling depressed, talk to someone about anti-depressants.

My problem is more getting them than deciding which one is best. My parents are just those very, very, very old fashioned people who don't believe in these kinda things.

Are you depressed because of what happened with that dude T_T?

Well if ur parents won't let you, I'll be here for you to talk! I totally understand ur situation. I used to be on anti-depressants (to tell the truth they only worked for a little while, but then the sadness keeps coming back each day). I seriously wish I have a way to make you feel better!

What you need is consolation, not anti-depressants. If you really think pills would really fix your life, take a placebo.

Go out with your friends and have a laugh. That would keep your mind off depression.
