I usually answer the fone the first time or call them as soon as I received the message or missed call.

haha. speaking of calling a girl back.
i have a story for anyone who reads this.

So my math teacher went to this party that was his brother's for july 4th. You know, the usual, BBQ & fireworks watching. His brother told him that his neighbors are bringing over a friend.

So he meets this friend & it happens to be a single woman. So he goes over to her & mingles with her & has a jolly good time. Then it's time to go home for him, so he gets in his car & she comes over to his window & hands him a piece of paper with her number on it.

He decides that he should call her tomorrow night.
He somehow forgets to & puts it off.
"Maybe tomorrow.." turns into "Maybe next week" & that turns into "Maybe next month." A year passes & he doesn't see her at the annual July 4th party. What would he say to her anyway? "Sorry I haven't called you yet, I've been busy," ? Terrible!

So later that night, he checks his e-mail & his brother sent him an e-mail. Thing is, his brother never sends him any e-mail unless it's somewhat important.

In the e-mail, it's a conversation between his brother & his brother's neighbor. Something like this...

Neighbor: dude, your bro's an idiot.
Brother: what happened?
Neighbor: you know that girl that he never got around to call?
Brother: yeah..
Neighbor: well it turns out she won the lotto. like a million bucks!

My teacher's advice was, "So kids, the next time a girl or even a boy hands you their number, CALL THEM."
