I respect music, straight up. I may not like country because its like Helen Keller singing karaoke, but that doesn't mean I think its the worst genre of music.

Anytime you put the time, effort, money, blood, sweat and tears into making music (especially if it comes from the heart), it deserves respect.

Not everyone understands hiphop, and I'm fine with that. I don't understand hardcore or country. Nonetheless, I don't knock anyone else, ya dig?

I'll be damned if I let these dimwitted fucktarts run up in here and badmouth hiphop. They'll get verbally shat on. TRUTH.

i dont think there is such thing as the "worst genre of music", but if anybody could come in here and prove, with facts and not stereotypes, that one type of music is worse than another type of music i can respect that

thread should be changed to what type of music do you dislike the most, because majority of people are just stating what type of music they dislike the most. similar to the greatest rapper thread, that should be changed to favorite rapper.

funny how nobody is defending the other genres like brandon is defending rap. lol

I love jazz music with a passion. I honestly believe its the purest and most sincere form of music to date. Its just unfortunate that major music labels feel as though its a dead genre. The greats like Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, etc fail to recieve the recognition they rightfully deserve (like Ray Charles), the good musicians of our time are overshadowed and stay local to their region and there are far too many half-assed jazz artists and bands out there. I love jazz music with a passion. Jazz is my wife, hiphop is my mistress.

personally, i'll listen to anything, anything... but country.
i used to love it as a kid. weird i guess. little asian girl watching country music videos for 5-6 hours straight.

I HATE country, but I don't think its the worst genre. There are country songs and country singers out there. So technically it isn't the worst genre.

I don't think this should have a poll. There are so many genres/subgenres these days, that those aren't even enough.

But anyways, I honestly can't stand country. It just seems to annoy me so much. But yeah, I'm not gonna be like, "c0uNtRy MuZ!k $h0uLd BuRn CuZz I d0n`T lyK iT!!!!11" because I understand that everyone's taste in things, like in music, varies, & you have to respect that.

i HATE rap so much. i especially hate that alternative/hiphop/rap genre.
country just annoys me. and metal makes me want to kill myself. post-hardcore is ok though. i hate pop too.

Yes, and I don't like them. With all of the country I've heard on the radio, every female singer sounds the same as well as every male singer.

I think I'd definitely pick rap anyday over metal or country.

it helps ppl more than it hurts ppl... think about how many ppl moved out the hood doin sumthin related to rap... either bein an artist, a producer, a hype man, a manager, anything... rap is an economic force that creates jobs but occasionally kills its stars
