I left my phone in my pocket when I washed it. I got it back out, and the inside of the LCD was all wet.
I took it apart, and dried most of it. But the LCD won't dry yet. I've looked up online and found a couple of things out. 1, the sticker on the back of the phone is supposedly to turn red when in contact with water. THey won't replace it. I should bake it in the oven at 150 degrees and stuff to get hte water in the lcd out. I'm not sure, what do you guys think I should do? |

Actually, I've dropped my cell phone in the sink. But then I quickly retrieved it. I mean, if you WASHED yoru phone, that means it must've went under mass amounts of pressure of water, right? That's a far worse scenario than what my phone's gone through lol.
ALTHOUGH, you can always take a hair dryer and dry it, but in low mode. I mean, there's not much you can do. My boyfriend was pushed into a pool and he had his moto RAZR (crap phone, imo) in his pocket. He ended up getting a new RAZR because the screen was all white and it was really damaged. I guess it just depends. Do you still have a samsung sgh-e315? Even though I dropped mines in the sink, I couldn't use my phone for a day and a half. Also, when I turn my phone off, I'm guessing there's still water in the battery, because the phoen randomly starts vibrating until the battery runs out. Of course now I have a samsung sgh-e730, so my new phone PWNs the e315. :] |

Oh, I did that once. I washed it and didn't notice it was missing until it was done. The phone was pretty messed up. The LCD screen was distorted and the color faded. I just let it dry over awhile. But the entire screen wasn't well, like you said it was. Enough to say, I had to get a new phone sooner or later.

If the phone was on OR the battery was inside the phone still while it was being washed. It's fried beyond repair. A machine wash will kill it. Too much time in the water.
I mean, the charge from the battery even if it was off was short circuiting the phone for a long time. I think it's dead. If you can't feign its death to the dealer, then it's time for a new more hip cellphone! I'd wait a couple weeks + intense hot drying to give your fake story to the dealer. |

D600! :D But if you're low on money, get a e730 like me--it's affordable... well I got mine for free so yea.. Anyways, you know what you can do? Call your phone as lost. Do you have insurance on the phone? I hope so! Insurance comes in handy |

QUOTE(uLoVeMikeRoch @ Jan 13 2006, 7:26 PM) I upgraded mine too. I don't have it anymore. Now i have the SGH-E635 Oh, and like I said. The red sticker voids the warranty, Hey I have a question... Which phone did you drop in the water? the e635 or the e315? I'm confused now haha. And whichever phone it is, what happened to it? Is it still not working? Glad you got an upgrade. My sister had the sgh-e635 for like 2 weeks on T-Mobile, but then switched over to Verizon. My dad took the phone haha. I'd have to say, THAT IS ONE FRIGGEN SMALL SLIDER PHONE! It's very compact. That's both bad and good. Although the size and overall style is cute and compact, the internal specs aren't that good... VGA camera and yea. But I'd have to say, it PWNs the e315 anyway. Although, e315 > Moto RAZR V3 (original one) I also have the samsung D600, but I gave it to my half-sis. Insurance will come in handy and I'll get another one too What do you mean by the red sticker voids the warranty? |

I took it apart, and dried it. But, during that time without it, I went back to my old e315. THey are both great phones, and I love them. Good thing I saved it. And yes, it is a small slider phone. But I too hate the specs. VGA camera my ass. Why would they give me flash for a non-digital phon? Only good thing that came out of it is when I used the phone as a flashlight. And, the e315 is much better then the original razr. YOU GOT A D600!!!! HOLY FRIGGIN CRAP!! It's like, 400 dollars. Only dumb thing is that it came out like a week after the D500 did, but still no one knows about the D500 or the D600 except a small few. As in the tech geeks, regular geeks, phone junkies, and some random people. And about the sticker. There is a sticker on the back inside of your phone. most newer phones come with 2 stickers, one next to thje card slot, one in the inside. The e315 only has one, in the inside. It changes color when H20 or some other liquid similar to this, or has h20 in it is dropped on the sticker. |

^ Ooh i never knew that... what color did it change to? Red? :P Something like that? And as for the stickers, do you mean the stickers with the model numbers and whatnot, on the battery and then on the inside of the phone itself?
Actually, the D600 is roughly about.. $450 retail right now. It used to be more, but now it's cheaper. Whereas, the D500 is probably like.. $250-ish, I believe. Well I mean, we got the Samsung D600 for only $160. We still had to pay, but we saved almost $300 even though I only got a $40 plan. So all in all, it was totally worth it. ;] I'm fine with my e730 anyway.. for now... <33 import phones. D600 PWNs Moto ROKR E1 and E2 ;] As for the e315... I gave that baby away Christina = Samsung phones freak. |

I gave that baby away Christina = Samsung phones freak. Lets see. The stickers are white round stickers. You probably have seen them. They are on the phone itself. Yes the d600 is around that. But you can get it for 405 now I think, and you got it for only 160? For a 40 dollar plan? Ahh, Family plans don't do that though. They only take a certain amount off, which is less then 100 dollars. And yes the d600 does pwn. Motorola is only good in Asia. Ironic since it's an American company. I want to get the new Samsung 8 megapixel digital camera phone, again, only in Asia. Gotta impoer it. I love phones made in Korea and Japan and such. They are so nice. My phones took 3 days, over the MLKJR weekend. |

Hey, some phones are like.. screwed for life when they touch water haha. My bf's first RAZR is like... EEEK when it fell in the water.
WTH, 8 MP camera phone? Is that Samsung one? Have you seen the Anycall phones? They're made by Samsung, but omg their phones ROCK. It's like, new technology.. Why can't our phones be like that Motorola phones are crap, IMO. No wonder, since they're made in America and it seems like we're quite behind in technology I HATE YOU MOTO V180! DIE! Anyways, hey Eddie - what kind of phone do you have? You should just put it near a hot source for a long time. Make sure the phone is off. Don't want it to go crazy if you try to turn it on or something... |

i dropped mine in the toilet. -_-;; but i got it out right away and it messed up my battery so it would only stay charged for maybe an hour at the most. t mobile replaced mine though because i had that 6 month deal where if anything happens for the first 6 months, they replace it; no questions, no payment.
im sure you can just get another phone, right? or ask your phone provider why they wont replace it. |

It sucks because my phone is an import phone, so any water damage would not be covered anyway. Although, T-Mobile as well as Asurion (insurance) won't cover the phone not only because it's an import phone, but also water damage is one's own fault. Funny story...
