This has been on my mind... I've beem thinking about it alot.. and have come to the conclusion that money does bring happiness. Ypu can buy and have anything u want nothing is outter ur reach basically. Yeah yeah u can'y buy love... but if u really think about it u can. Not just um.. physically but.. sum ppl just go for money so they fall in love with u and ur money. And.. really... how many happy hobo's do u see these days. Wutz ur thoughts? u agree?

I believe money can only rent happiness, but not buy. For instance, a perfect example is Bill Gates. We can all agree he has more than enough money to last 40 lifetimes, yet he still goes to work. Why? Cause he likes his job.

Nearly all mankind is more or less unhappy because nearly all do not know the true self. Real happiness abides in self knowledge alone. All else is fleeting. To know one's self is to be blissful always.

I think money can buy happiness and allot more than just happiness. In today’s world, money is power. Power to me equals happiness, but that’s just me. To some people, power might not be a good thing to them. I have to say if I had the money that Bill Gates had, and I had the opportunity to own/work for Microsoft, I would do it.

I've been thinking about this too. I mean, nowadays, it's really difficult to have a good time with different people if you don't have money. A lot of the thiings you do with people involve buying things--tickets, food, etc. The clothes you wear make the intial impression, and if you can't afford something good, you have to force other people to alter their first impression so that it doesn't have to do with your clothes. Gifts do matter. If a majority of your friends are richer than you, their gifts will appear more thoughtful, even if you spent more time thinking about the gift and writing an extra nice card to make the cheaper gift look better. People can't help judging, and no matter how much we'd like to think that love and happiness can come without money, it really doesn't. There aren't a lot of people who will marry you and love you forever if you're having really bad financial problems. One problem will lead to another and you could split up. (At least, these days you would, looking at the high divorce rates...)
No matter how much you'd like to think that you're not shallow, you probably are, at least a little bit. Name one thing in the world that would appeal just as much to you if its monetary value or worth fell. I just think it's difficult now. You can still enjoy comforts of life without money, but since the poor in a rich country like USA are surrounded by those who have enough money to really enjoy life, it's hard to not feel more disappointed than usual. Yeah, true, it's impossible to satisfy all your wants. But there's a point when, although you may want more, you don't need to ask for more because you already feel good, and that point is only reached when you have enough money. |

Money doesn't bring happiness because it is the root of all evil. yeah money pass the bills but if you buy some ones love than it's really not love at all. Yeah they say they love you but they really love your money. Life to short to sell our souls for love.

QUOTE Money doesn't bring happiness because it is the root of all evil. if i ever came to a fork in a road, i would take the route of all evil. on the real, if i was offered enough money to allow me to live confortably for the rest of my live, but deprived of fame or a job, i would take the money in an instant. i think that i am pretty materialist, and most of my problems and stress involve monetary issues, so i would say that money could buy happiness. |

Money is a source to survive in this type of technology society, not in the wild. Money was invented because it is easier to navigate and save time than to lose things quicker. |

Money is not evil. The intentions behind spending or attaining money is where the evil comes from.

When I got my birthday money, I was rich as f**k and bought everything I wanted. Yet, I was satisfied temporarily and already I wanted something new. |

Happiness is a state of mind. Maybe you buy something, but you only think your happy, maybe in a couple of days you won't be happy. My little sister brings us happiness, our family could sit for hours just watching her sing and dance and say silly things. Honestly, this is sorta stupid.
There is an old saying, "The wealthy man is rich in money, the poor man is rich in happiness." Like the Christmas carol, Ebinezer Scrooge is the meanest nastiest man you could meet, and he has tons of money. Yet young Cratchet, has little money and is the nicest man you could know. Sure money helps you get things that lead to happiness, but honestly sometimes i'm satisfied with palying outdoors and not worrying about money. Plus money leads to debt and sadness. Really, if money means happiness I have now found out how materilistic this world has come to be. |

I think that people think that money can buy happiness.
But in reality it can't exactly. People can actually be like really happy, but they think that there is just something missing from their life so they want money to get that thing that they feel is missing and getting that thing makes them feel happier even though they already were perfectly happy before. So maybe it half does and half doesn't...... |

QUOTE but, that's a story. what if i told you a story about a homeless guy starving on the street mad at the world, and a rich man relaxing at home watching his brand new plasma tv while sipping pina colada enjoying life... That might be true, but money led him to that homeless stage. What if he was on crack or something and spent all his money on stupid crack. Or what if he got in debt because of money and got into that stage. |
