Definition

Some people get confused or don't really know the complete definition for "Anime" or "Otaku" is. So here are the definitions to help you out!

Anime: a style of animation originating in Japan. It is sometimes referred to by the portmanteau Japanimation. Anime is characterized by stark, colorful graphics and stylized, colorful images depicting vibrant characters in a variety of different settings and story-lines, aimed at a wide range of audiences. Anime may be broadcast on television, distributed on media such as DVDs or published as console and computer games. Anime is usually influenced by Japanese comics known as manga.


Otaku: a variety of geek (or an overly obsessed fanboy / fangirl) specializing in anime and manga.

I'm only back from my Anime Otakus. Seriously. This is the reason why I came back. So, let's keep it hush-hush, lol.

And as far as fanfiction, Cassie, I've been reading it since sixth grade. I'm telling you, it's a lifelong addiction.

I read summaries from chapter 103-121. Couldn't find the scans...

BUT OMG SO GOOD. SOSOSOSOSOSOSO GOOD. SO many things have happened and I wish I could all just tell you...but I don't want to spoil it.  Fruits Basket is frickin amazing.  SOOOOOOOO GOOD

^omg julia i refuse to read those summaries...lol i don't want anything to be spoiled, lol so i have to stay away from that "fruits baskets" thread, because i know there are spoilers in there. lol. but ahh...i want to find out when I read it. But in a way I don't lol, cuz they are taking their sweet time to release all of them. lol

I would read fanfictions but I'm in love with old animes these days.. I like rewatching all the classics that I use to watch... Like from 1999 and stuff =P... Yeah I'm weird

Hehe. I was just reading over the first AO topic and it makes me giggle. You can see how this forum gradually starts coming together, and [Sammy, Katie, Patricia, etc.] getting it all set up. Very cute. It makes my face squinch up in one of those "koochie-koo" faces. >_<

Well, I used to, anyway, but ever since I started working, I simply don't have time for all that. I've even started a few, but I never finished. I have a short attention span when it comes to projects that require long term commitment. That are REALLY important to how I live my life. Haha.
