I've used xanga for awhile,
Not really a big fan of it, but that's life. I decided to spend a little while and make my own. All the images etc were made by me, I used photoshop cs2.
Some of the script was not done by me, and it is listed below.

extra side module - by paul chen
chat box - by cbox
image rotator script - i forget

I'm not really a big fan of java, but xanga kind of limits you as far as what you can use, so that's what I went with.
I would have added some flash, but I didn't feal like slowing the site down for 56k users. Anyhow hope you enjoy.

I know I've seen those stripes on some other website. Think it was a cool design site. One of the many I visit. Still very nice integration with the stripes. nice job

i dont think the modules and the blog blends in that well with the background but i like the simplicity of the banner and the modules. good job!

-All the modules and posts should be bordered like the banner
-Banner is too narrow compared to modules+posts
-The text is too close to the end of the posts modules, try to give it a little more spacing
-THe posts hang a little lower than the modules

You could have been looking at one of my websites. blink.gif

My screen res, is 1024-768 and it displays almost perfect for me in firefox, since most people don't run 800-600.
Thanks for all the comments I'll keep them all in mind if I go to change it.
