it depends. every girl is different. if you start having cramps or having discarge on your undies or sometimes your boobs start to hurt blink.gif then maybe you should wear a pad just in case.

You could get it. Then again you couldn't.
If you're worried you may have an accident just wear a panty liner everyday.

Just bring one to school incase. I usually can tell a day or two before I'm going to get my period.

I say bring one, don't wear one...cuz it can get uncomfortable, depending on the type of pad. If you're really worried, wear a pantyliner, but you'll probably be able to feel it, so you should just be able to keep one in a purse/bag. And of course, if you're like me, you'll get killer cramps two days before, so you'll know.

My mom got hers when she was 14. I got mine when I was 11. _dry.gif Although sometimes the age that your mom gets her period effects yours, not always, like in my case. I wish I was 14 when I got mine. It sucks. Don't be so eager!!

don't wear pads. bring one just incase.
imagine getting your period at 16, and wearing a pad every day "just incase you get it"
talk about a waste of money?
and besides, my mom got hers at 12, and I'm 14, and I still haven't gotten it.
*sighs*

Don't wear it just yet, just make sure you have some in your bag or something. When it comes, you'll know, and the first day of your period is usually light anyway.

if you carry a purse, or a small bag, you can put your pads in that purse or bag. Don't wear them. I'm 13 and still haven't had my period yet. but, you should be proud. I heard it was pretty bad. x__x

Wearing a pad everyday for a long time would really bite - the first time is barely anything, so if you go to the bathroom everyday, and have a pad or tampon on you just in case, you can then take care of it. Your mom's age has nothign to do with yours - my mom's was different from mine.

just because your mom started at 14 doesnt mean youll get yours at the EXACT same time. its your first time, dont even worry about it. you may not know its even coming because symptoms are different when its the first time. so if you do wear a pad, you could be wearing it for months after thinking your period is coming.

just get a paper bag and put a pair of underwear and a pad in and put it in ur locker. if u don't have a locker then keep it in ur backpack. then if u get it u can just use it. or if u don't have one and u get urs at school talk to a teacher(female) or go to the clinic(nurse). they always have pads.

maybe you could just put a few pads in your purse, and if your having cramps or feel like you may have started, just ask to go to the bathroom and check. before i had mine i was always worried in school, but i decided the only thing i could do was to be prepared and just have some pads with me. i got mine at 14 but it's different for every girl.

My mom got her's when she was 14 and I got mine when I was 11? (I think. Whatever. It was the summer before 6th grade). Ages vary for different people. If you're worried about it do what everyone else said. Just carry a couple pads. You'll be fine. _smile.gif

There's really no way of telling. Just bring a pad/tampon and a sweatshirt to wear over your butt in case it happens in school.
