Html Help?, Anyone? Options

Hey, this is going to sound really amateur but i don't care i need help
Okay so, i've been on a few websites and when i click a link the page comes up as a smaller page on the top left hand corner and can't be maximised. This girl gave me a code but it hasn't worked and i've tried varying it blah blah
anyway this is the code she gave me

^^Correct code.

The "<a href" should have a space between the "a" and the "href".

Okay, i just need a code that will work on piczo. stephire.. when i've entered the code and the link text there's nothing to click to actually get onto the page?

well there is but its invisible till i hover over it, any idea how to change the font and colour??

In Xanga? Add this to your custom header:

</style>

But chances are, you already have a style sheet, so just find that in your current style sheet and change the color.
