Me and my boyfriend were going out for 2 years. and its both our longest relationship. But it seems as if he doesn't care so much anymore, no more aniversarys, no more late night calls. He even forgot my number. cry.gif
Theres this other boy in my dance class thats so sweet and he told me he liked me. I think i like him to, but i didn't tell him yet. I feel like im cheating on my boyfriend. I dont know how to tell him that i wanna breakup with him. I dont want him to think im dumping him for someone else. How should I tell him without hurting him?

Hold on for one second. You said-two years. Wow; that's a really long time. Think about it, do you really want to let this relationship go to waste? If you do this, is this going to be something you'll regret. Maybe you're just drawn to this boy's sweetness. Instead of going behind your boyfriend's back with this other kid. Maybe you should just try to figure out why your boyfriend seems so neglectant. Trust me; I went through something similar to this. Keep this in mind. Never leave the one you love for the one you like. There is no possible way you can break it to him without hurting him. Think about this long and hard before you decide to tell any of them anything. 2 years with your boyfriend would go to waste...for this one boy whos in your dance class.

Okay...here's my advice.

First, ARE you dumping him for someone else? Or is it only because you feel he's grown distant? If this new guy hadn't come up, would you still want to dump him?

If you've been with your boyfriend for 2 years, I don't think that ending it to go with another guy you just met is a good idea. Unless your current boyfriend...really doesn't show he cares for you at ALL. And don't lie to yourself that it's the reason if it's because you're interested in this new guy. 2 years sounds like a pretty good relationship...ending it just to meet someone new doesn't seem very fair.

But if you really think you want to break up with him, tell him how you really feel. (Unless you're dumping him for someone else...don't tell him that.) It seems from what you've said that he's growing distant from you...let him know. Be open to what he says; try to say it...as nicely as possible. ._.

But like the person above said, I don't think you should give up your current boyfriend for this new guy. Two years. Think about it. Have a talk with him about your relationship.

wait, ask yourself this would you be dumping this guy if you hadn't met the other boy? maybe there's no more late night phone calls and anniversaries cause he thinks that you guys have been together long enough. if you think he's grown distant then talk to him about it, tell him you miss how you had those phone calls and anni you guys once had.
if he's changed and a different guy then forget it, dump him, just don't tell him you're dumping him for another guy. that's going to make things much worst. but two years is a pretty long time, it must be a strong relationship to be able to last that long. don't let it go to waste

Never give up the one you love for the one you like..
There's a quote something like that, but maybe you two just need to "rekindle the fire". It has been two years and romances can die, so maybe you and your boyfriend just need to do something exciting again. As for the cheating part, as long as you actually aren't doing anything, your not cheating. It's only when you actually start doing stuff with others guys when its cheating.

^ Like Lo Mein said. Dont leave the one you love for the one you like, because the one you like will leave you for the one they love.

no it's not cheating but blah blah blah. just because it's 2 years doesn't mean it's some big ass deal.

he doesn't care about anniversaries, he doesn't call and he didn't even remember your damn number stubborn.gif is this what you want? i can't believe that people are saying that you should stick with him. does anyone really want live with this for the rest of your life just because of those 2 years?

talk to him (if you haven't) to try to salvage your relationship. but if you're going to leave him there really isn't a nice way to do it. and you are leaving him for someone else. sure it will hurt but he'll get over it.

Have u tried talking to your boyfriend first and letting him explain why he has been acting so distant lately? Most likely he has a perfectly good reason other than he's just doing it to be mean.

Just because he stops showering you with attention all the time doesn't mean you should break up with him. I do agree on some extent though because if he really did forget all that, that must be something, but I don't think that you should end the two years you had together. If you do decide to break up, at least talk to him first and get his side of the story.

Talk to your boyfriend and see why he's neglecting you. Because it seems like he doesn't care about you anymore. As for the the other guy, just be friends for now. And when you break up with a guy, theres no way that you don't hurt him if he cares about you. No way. So if you do break up with your boyfriend, just tell him the truth. That's the best thing you can do.
