That's not shabby at all.
The only thing is, there seems to be a lack of continuity. Maybe experiment with blending and using different textures. |

seriously i tried it and well it turned out really smooshed and pixelly :\ |

You should search for "photoshop" in the tutorial section here. I went through a couple of tutorials just last night. Folks spent a great time creating tutorials for folks like us. = ) You should check them out. |

whats weird is that the way the backround fades..i didnt do that on purpose o_0 i just accidentely clicked some and it became like that. So i dealt with it. THe original color is purple to blue with white brushes and white and black font [canker sore] Don't double post. Just use the edit button. as zatanna said, you gotta follow some tutorials. thats how i got things started. your picture actually isnt that bad, its appealing to the eye, but imagine how great it would be with textures and pictures and yeahhh
maybe its grey beacuse you greyscaled it? or desaturated it? anyways, youll get better haha i remember my noob days =) colouring over ppl's faces with the brush tool, yup |

Even though i have PS CS i still dont get it cB changed from back then i used to be a member her like one 4 or 5 months ago i just too a break and made a new one i grey scaled this:  i also lighted the backround and darkened her edges and made it pop out  im so confused with the colourization it still dosent work

The brushes are the basic ones
the backround is Purple and blue i used the gradient and then greyscaled it :] |

where do you get brushes like the butterfyl ones? i can never find some like that? anyways, great job for a noob.. haha.. funny word. =] i would also advicez [sp] looking through the tutorials for more hands-on kinda stuff. =] [not the best word choice].!
