A&F is a publically-held and traded company, so you just invited thousands of stockholders to suck your d**k. I suggest you sit back and enjoy, because this might take a while.

A. This is old
B. There is already a topic like this in fashion..I believe it has something to do with Hollister as well.
C. Watch your damn language. You can get your point across without whipping out everything curse in the book. Besides, it doesn't make you look mature, it makes you seem that you are younger than what you are.

Lol... that made me laugh.

Anyway, I'm sure there are a lot of companies that are like this... not only clothing stores. I'm not saying the racism is right, because it definately isn't. I'm just saying there are many companies that hire certain people.

That's insanely stupid. I don't really understand why, in the first place, people would buy those shirts, but I'm glad they got pulled off the shelves. mad.gif Stupid assholes.

Okay, now compare this to FUBU.

It wasn't meant to be intentionally racist (FUBU stands for For Us, By Us), but I think that's what it turned out to.
*

Believe it or not, FUBU was a project started by a Korean company in the States as a new clothing line. Somehow it turned out to be the present day FUBU.

edit::
In fact, it was started by Samsung corporations

edit:::
Samsung came in later on laugh.gif
At first, it was started by a group of guys and then samsung came in later to help the mass production

yeah they are. when i was modeling i sent my pictures in to a&f about three times and they ignored me. that probably doesnt prove anything but notice how all their models are white.

i still dont like a&f. i walked in once and turned around abut five steps in.

I agree they pretty much do, although sometimes they might have what I want that I can't find anywhere else. Normally I don't shop at that place anyway.

agreed.

You all have to accept that Abercrombie and Fitch are not the only ones having these "asian-oriented" shirts. Other stores like Aeropastale and Forever 21 also used to have these types of shirts, but were THEY ever targeted like AF was/is? I think that the only reason it's so blown out of porportion is because many people view the brand as snobbish and overrated, and only want to get a stab back at the company.

These types shirts were "in" sometime ago, many clothing lines had stereotypical asian slurs and such on their clothing. AF shouldnt be spotlighted by itself, to do so is unfair.

Wayne - ... rofl laugh.gif hahahahahhah no spamming though.. pfft.. hahahahahha lol @ pic

Yep this is definitely old news. I heard about this back in 8th grade. Come on, this was like, 4 years ago. Are they releasing another huge line of asian-oriented clothing? No. Yep, definitely out of proportion.

I agree with Val on this one -- there have been MANY companies that have manipulated the Asian culture, stereotypes, slang, etc. File a lawsuit against them? Are you kidding me? I thought this was cleared up after the whole protest thing... I barely hear anyone mention it nowadays. I saw it on TV back 4 years ago, where a HUGE line of Asians stood in front of the Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego outside of the A&F store.

I never knew Aero and Forever 21 did that? I've never seen their shirts potray that. Then again, I barely shop there anyways. And hey, isn't Forever 21 the store where people worked in sweatshops for low pay or something? There was a thread about it somewhere.. but still...

I've been there before and I never really see anything special....I think their clothes are too expensive....I don't think it would be fair to be mad at all of the people at A&F blink.gif
