being alone.
Smells linger from past events,
roses, candles, cologne.

It creeps inside your brain,
and grasps onto your mind.
It leaves your thoughts bare,
nothing left behind.

The sultry sound
of bland white noise.
Rain on the window,
wound up toys.

There seems to be a
scenery of black.
Nothingness reflects your eyes,
And so much light you lack.

Alone at night.
Alone in the dark.
Alone in your life.
Alone in yourself.
