Personally, I think Papoose is holding it down but Saigon is on the virge of making it big. Yo Pusha got me listening to Budden and Spider Loc is actually bringing credibility back to G-Unit.

Discuss.

Chyea!

Me and Kate go wayyy back. I talked to the babe one time on another forum. She's got a good head on her shoulders. But it'd be better if she gave me some ohmy.gif

Boxden is serious. Between porn and music, Rapidshare and MegaUpload are my favorite sites, haha.

Whats your illesty username?

And have you heard any of Spider Loc? He's actually... good. And brothas still respect him in the street.

i heard that kate has a hoof foot or something. like only 3 toes. i saw pics of it on another forum, you need to focus on her feet in some of the videos and see it for yourself.

im "yo pusha" on illesty, never posted though.

spider loc.. from g-unit? never heard him.

I heard that too. Whatever... she can wear heels to bed for all I care. Babe is bangin.

Mannn, you should post.

And Spider Loc is nice. Real nice. I was expecting half-assed punchlines and lackluster guntalk but he really surprised me. Hit up Boxden or illesty, it shouldn't be hard to get hi mixtape.

Props to Saigon, on the real. But whoever wrote that article has their ass on their shoulders. They prove how much they don't know about HipHop. Although Saigon may not glorify thug life, he does talk about it.

Whats disappointing about that, is the fact that Newsweek is late. MAD LATE. This is an article that is years and years too late.

I can't stop bumpin' Pap's Meance II Society Pt 2

Not going to front, most of these artist have no access to download freely since im on dial up, but I papoose has nice lyrics but I'm really not feeling his voice. Thats how it is with me, they could be a nice artist, but if they have a horrible voice I just can't bear to listen to it.

But I have listened to Joe Budden, and I have to say that the guy is vert decnet. He got my respect, hats off to him.

Oh yeah JR Writer is pretty nice at times.

But the truth is the realest mixtape emcee the world wasn't ready for was the Kangsta.

sup kc.

It depends on what you want to listen to. If you want that conscious type music try Sweatshop Union, a group of white men critisizing the state of rap. Trust me it's not as bad as it seems, the beats are ill and they can rap. Google them.

If you want clever punchlines with gun talk then JR Writer is who you want to listen to. I recommend "The Legend" mixtape, which is available for free download at U-Mad.net.

Papoose is definately the artist who uses the most wordplay. Check out his mixtape A Moment of Silence, hosted by Clinton Sparks. I also recommend "The Beast", a Talib Kweli x Papoose colalboration. There's this one line in there that makes me roll every time..

Fabolous, Joe Budden, A-Team, Paul Cain are definately the best "all around" artists. Multis, Punches, Wordplay, Conscious, Love Songs, and they got good production. For A-Team check out their first DJ Clue mixtape "Hardhood Classics Vol. 1", for Joe Budden check out "Mood Muzik Vol. 2", I haven't heard it, but it probably will be the best music you will hear in a while. Fabolous, check out any one of his mixtapes, just don't go buying his albums. I think he's the most consistent rapper in terms of hot 16s.

Other artists you should look out for.. Copywrite - best punchline cat out, but he keeps getting his ass kicked. Get "Cruise Control Vol. 1" if you want to check him out, it's sold at tower records. Saigon, "conscious" rapper who has clever punches, he has what people call "crossover potential", because he is the sort of rapper that mainstream fans could enjoy too. Lupe Fiasco, the nerd version of Papoose. Very creative, great wordplay, check out Farenhiet First and Fifteenth.

What about DJs? If you want real underground artists, go cop some Def Jux samplers, that is what people classify as "nerd rap". Artists like Aesop Rock, lots of their stuff goes over your head. Or go cop an QN5 mixtape, artists like Cunninlynguistics and Mr. SOS, conscious artists with clever lyrics. My favorite mixtape DJ is DJ Clue, but he hasn't released anything new since Fidel Cashflow Pt. 2.

peace.

It doesn't matter the content, Im very open minded, but I would like to listen to something other than crunk music for a change.

I only heard that one song he was in with Camron on the Get Em Daddy (Remix), but you guys were saying he is the illest person in Dipset, so I'll get around to checking some of his songs out.

Recently I've been listening to that one song he has out with Brooke Valentine. I also like Stack Bundles, him and Joe Budden man handled the that Tipsy beat.

MF Doom's an old head, homie. He's done so much that its hard to pinpoint a single album. He released an album with MF Grimm like 10 years ago, that was definitely ill. But as for his recent joints, check out MM... Food.

MF Doom got a huge discography. He is what you would call a concept rapper, all his albums are based on one concept. For example "MM.. Food" is all about food. Try MF Doom X Nas - Nastradoomus. I love that haha
