If any of you guys have seen the 2nd inuyahsa movie, castle beyond the looking glass. Im sure you know the story.

But what is that idea called that they used in the movie. Where the earth and universe is made up of 5 elements. Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Etc. Where they get all 5 items, and they lights start shooting into the sky. It says that the idea came from Chinese teachings or something like that. Do any of you guys know what it's called? I'd like to really learn about it.

It's called the story of elements right? that's how i learned it. A celestial came down from the moon and bathed, a fisherman stole her robe and bribed her into marrying him. She dies and crap... it relates to the element thing but I haven't heard this story since I was 6 when my mom told it to me

... Somehow that reminds me of "Ayashi no Ceres." It's about a celestial maiden (ten'nyo) or something. Anyways, the finsherman, a human, stole her robes (hagaromo or w/e it's called) and she is forced to marry the fisherman since she cannot return to the Heavens. Well, that's how it's told in Ayashi no Ceres, but that is very similar to what you just said, andromeda_90.

As for the 5 elements thing... Gosh, why does this somewhat remind me of the 5th element movie? Anyway, I'm not sure about that.. Sorry. :/
