To answer your question. The difference between dark green and light green is that, the dark green links represent that your site is the best out of the best. We give those particular sites praise for their excellence in not only design but content. The lighter green site are labeled as the best. The only reason why they are light green is they could improve in either the area of design or content, although they overall meet approval.

i tend to judge on:

• general aesthetics - does it look good? is it easy to follow? is it too cluttered, too empty, or just right? does it give me a vision-orgasm?
• graphics - do they make me wanna touch my screen? heheh.
• coding - i dont always do this but sometimes i might look at the source and see if its neat n organized. this aspect rarely effects my judgement if it still looks dope.
• content - are u just posting mindless and bland entries about how your day went, or do you actually put thought into your posts? does it make me think or wanna get to you know you more?

Sorry if i'm being a burden but I have a question as well.
Let's say we sent you some of our masterpieces to sign up to be on the DM team, if we didn't meet the criteria for it, do you let us know we didn't make it? Or leave us hanging?

if it doesnt, and your page is on the designmatters mainpage, you may be removed. however: it will still be in the archives.

-I judge mostly the same way as 2nekked does with a couple of exceptions.
-We'd like to go arround and contact everyone that has been accepted or not but time doesnt allow us to do that. Possibly in the future. For now you can tell if you have not made it if your site does not end up on the list within 3 days. We normally update by the hour. 3 days seems like a long time, but in some cases we can not update for that time period.
